Kielty comes across as smug and bigoted, Frankie Boyle was unpredictable and controversial, and was the mainstay of the show, he was the comedians comedian. I guess thats why he writes Jimmy Carrs material, a true talent.

I think Frankie left because he's getting his own show on Channel 4 and he wants to concentrate on his stand-up, which is a bit difficult to do when you're saying half of it every weekon a show like MTW

Nah, he left because Channel 4 kept removing his jokes, and they told him to stop telling offensive jokes. I saw it on a interview I saw on youtube that was removed.

@opie35437 Nope, he left because he fucking hated it. They stopped him doing the stand-up round because of his material, and their editing out of his bits was getting excessive. He decided to call it quits before they started asking him to censor his material. And I only just realised your comment was posted a year ago, back when nobody knew why he left the show.

I very much doubt he was fired. He was frowned upon due to how contriversal his jokes were, but I bet the BBC would just fire him like that, due to his massive popularity.

What's most likely is that he's left to go onto his own projects, because I think he's been doing this from the first series.

@nudeadnation Your friend is talking out of their backside. Frankie helped to make MTW and was a big draw for a lot of the audience. Above all else, the BBC wouldn't risk the negative publicity from sacking questionably the most popular comedian in one of their most popular shows.
