I can assure all of the ney sayers...the sled is very much real. I know because I own it now as I owned it when it was brand new. I bought the sled in January of 2007 from the dealer and since then I have put ridiculous amounts of money into it. It has been converted to run asphalt and has since taken first place at 3 events and 2nd in one as well. It has a two step on it to build boost off the line. We leave the line on the tar at 3.5lbs. Best to date is 7.83 seconds in the 1/4 and 168mph

Hahahahaha this has got to be one of the dumbest things I've read on YT yet. As Jordanmackay15 already stated correctly, the point of expansion chambers is to prevent fuel from escaping the cylinders prematurely. Clearly you don't understand how turbochargers increase engine power, because if you did, you would know it makes no difference whether they are on a 4 or 2-stroke engine.

@rmurray623 It does have to step, but it wouldn't do you any good on a naturally aspirated sled considering two step is only used on turbocharged engines to spool the turbo so there is no lag.

its like '2-step' on a racing import. you hold the throttle wide open and there is a rpm limiter just below clutch engagement that allows the motor to spool the turbo and build boost until he decides to launch. on a car 2-step is controlled by the speed sensor and the ECU. on a sled i believe it is controlled via a button on the handlebars to the ECU.

Also it lets the exhaust fumes build pressure in the turbo without the "natural resistance" you get when driving about, so that you have, let's say 1.5 bar of boost instead of 0 :)
