Love these three new songs unlike Battle Studies he's back to his compulsively honest, non-censoring self. This sounds like the musician from Continuum trying to find his way back to the optimistic young dreamer from Room for Squares. Poor guy, sounds like the last ten years have battered that kid around a bit. Love the way too a hyper, over-talkative guy like him finds his soul/center/true self in such gentle 'heart on its sleeve kind of sleeve' kind of music.

One of the many things that impresses me about this man is that he's so freakin' real. He's not too "big" to hang with his fans. He obviously plays music for his love of music. Not for the bucks (although, I'm sure there's a time and place for that). One of these days I'm going to leave l'il ol' PEI Canada and go to the Village Underground..... and maybe the stars will be aligned and I will have the opportunity to see this firsthand.
