zz, who cares how it's called - it sounds wonderful! :) music analysis, determinations etc. sucks - i found out that the sound of Front242 or Nitzer Ebb or whateva more, is clled EBM about an year ago, and still this have never avoided me to adore it since I was 13! – and I was 13 a loooong time ago ;)
@bgtelevizor - if you have people you want to turn on to it, a few determinating epithets are worth knowing and being consistent helps. in 1994 I was making mix tapes left and right to get the NYC club scene up to speed on the new tunes from Europe. describing the new stuff as 242 or FLA/nitzer ebb based was essential to appealing to peoples taste.
Well a sizeable part of it is made up of British troops after firing upon a bunch of protesters in Northern Ireland. Not that long ago either...
But the world really didnt care about our little Island back then.
Its only in recent times in places like Iran that people give a shit. But in fact, the US government is intent on suppressing chatter about that horror show these days as well.
ive noticed that the bar on the left side appears everytime the snare hits and you can see a very blurry mouth during the scream samples....all the images are synced up to the song neatly.
I think it's H-Gun who made the video. They had their own distinctive style with very fast editing and although a bit samey in the long run were no dimwits. it figures they'd put some thought into what they were doing.
That aside, great track from FLA. Shame they didn't stick to this more basic style instead of the bandwagon hopping they humiliated themselves with after Caustic Grip and TNI.
@TheGreatEcstasy Is it possible that this video group also did the unofficial video for Skinny Puppy - Deadlines? I do believe it was made around the same time period and there are many striking similarities, such as the letter-boxed video effect and some other elements such as thing that may have been the same footage with different contrast/color scheme effects. Any information you may have would be of academic interest :P
@KillingSpreeFreesBee - not really EBM - too "tack tack tack" to be EBM. Electro industrial suits it better. EBM is more bass synth oriented, like the Klinik or Front 242.
When I used to listen to this, it was called EBM. Industrial music was (and still is) something different in means and intent. Whatever, it still sounds great some 20 years after. Thanks for posting the vid.
Whoah that sounds similar to yelwarC...long life the dark-electro!!! love this music!

Wondering what the footage is?

yeah FLAs and Skinny Puppys(SPs) style off EBM is unique, so is Front 242's more oldskool, light-EBM-type style, etc...

i wouldn't considering Skinny Puppy EBM
