I know the Brazillian side of 1982 never won the World Cup, but the won the hearts & minds of millions around the world. They played with such flair & beauty for the game that even people that were nationalistic about their own country secretly wanted Brazil to win the world cup if their country couldn't. Even now 30 years on everyone around the world talks about this side. Probably the best midfield I personally have ever seen play at the World Cup finals.The best one of the lot was Socrates.
@redjam40 1982's Brazil was like the Netherlands of Cruyff (1974) or the Hungary of Puskas (1954). A mythical team! No one of that teams wins the cup, but they still in the memory of people.
