  • Hey buddy, whats the name of your guitar you used in this video

  • @CINcinTM I think it´s a Fender Baja Telecaster.

  • Ive got one of these up on ebay right now. Item number 300596300018

  • I make electro & dubstep music! It would be super cool if you listened to some on my channel :D

  • does this pedal cut the lows?

  • I love the clean sound of that telecaster

  • The actual demonstration starts at 1:10. :)

  • lol. you are playing same riffs, than PRG!!

  • @mrtall1994 ..... Yeah men!

  • wrong notes :p

  • This one or Boss CE-5?

  • @182Xtreme93 the ce5 was a massive dissapointment to me, horrible detune and almost ring modulation type ring to it and very very subtle at everything but high levels

  • @182Xtreme93 this one definitely. it sounds far better AND it's even cheaper!!

  • how well does this pedal work with other pedals? for say, boss?

  • i love that pedal.

  • creep is god

  • Mansun - Legacy! :) Just ordered a Small Clone about 2 mins ago

  • song at 4:35?

  • Holy shit! That orange amp nails Kurt Cobain's clean sound!

  • Thats because in the studio he used a vox ac30 and the same pedal, orange i think is very similar to vox. well kinda there both great

  • live he did that whole complicated mesa pre amp/marshal thing

  • They're not that similar, aside from being Class A. The Vox is much brighter.

  • 40 bucks off of craigslist

    works fucking perfectly

  • got mine for 30 at a pawn shop =). works awesome

  • im shocked you didnt play come as you are first

  • Yea m2 :D

  • what is the song you play at 1:10?

  • Comment removed

  • are u for real? cmon, its creep by radiohead, defiitely one of their most famous song although far from being the best one

  • thanks sorry i dont really know radiohead that well, but thanks

  • @Chelo430 creep is one of their worst songs... (excluding mostly the rest of pablo honey)

  • @thenolan Creep is epic. It is played at strip-clubs all over the world! I am in a band, and we play it. That cut is boss!

  • Does this work for Pink Floyd type stuff?

  • yes i have it and i love pink floyd i use it all the time for pink although i dont think david gilmour used chorus

  • i take that back he does use chorus

  • I can't decide between this one and Analogman chorus.. Any sugestions?

  • Small Clone.

  • small clone

  • how much did you pay for that orange right there?

  • is a ch-1 or this better

  • this

  • is this a true bypass? thnkz

  • yes

  • yea

  • i hate how everyone says that if you have this you're a kurt cobain copycat..well im a fan of nirvana but i like to use it for MY fucking music, and for playing music thats NOT nirvana. You know?

  • yeah me to i have a small clone as well and i have the poly chorus but i use those for my own songs and when i play nirvana songs as well that dont make me a copycat i cant help it that EHX makes good pedals.

  • @mrtall1994

Exactly! I have the DS 2 and now want this one..

Kurt didnt ONLY use the Small Clone, he also had a Poly Chorus.

  • @DrumGuitarDude However, he mainly used that for stuff like the Heart Shaped Box-solo and the Radio Friendly Unit-Shifter Intro.

    :)

  • @mrtall1994 Aha I know how you feel man, got this pedal and a boss ds-1 without knowing Kurt evened used them. Now people say the same thing to me.

  • come as you are - nirvana at 3:15

  • sound, me mate is floggin' me one of these, what should I pay for it? It ain't new lol.

  • i got mine for 30 dollars at a secondhand shop

  • paid £25 for it, but it was nearly new :)

  • Can you use it with battery do you need adapter?

  • on the radiohead song its a B not a b minor

  • i use it for the solo for teen spirit and come as you are

  • I have a Tiny terror as well and I've been thinking of geting a chorus pedal. how does it work with the gain cranked a bit on the TT, say around 1-2 o'clock?

  • the fucking best pedal ever made lool

  • i got mine last month and my freind in my band was calling me a copycat

just because kurt cobain had one.....im like soo its the fucking pedal ever made...and yes kurt cobain did use it but look at what it helped him achieve in his career...lol

  • That sounds like the 90's!

  • small clone or CE-5?

  • I wasn't impressed with the CE-5 when I tried it. I stuck it on eBay within hours of getting it.

  • have a CE5...too digital, not enough depth or craziness. gettin this in a few days. :)

  • clone.

  • one of Kurt Cobain's favorites pedals

    2:16 Creep

    3:13 Come as you are

  • and is visible in unplugged.

  • He used it for Man Who Sold The World, aye?

  • when you did come as you are with the depth switch up what was the rate that sounded nice

  • does anybody know how to do intros like nirvana? such as radio friendly unit shifter and things like that?

  • You need a polychorus/echoflanger/polyflange for the Radio Friendly Unit Shifter intro.

  • what was your rate for come as you are intro

  • i have this pedal. it is amazing.

  • I'V GOTTA GET ONE OF THOSE!!!!!

  • when you did come as you are with the depth switch up what was the rate that sounded nice

  • Is this pedal true bypass? can someone please tell me?

  • Most EH pedals (new models that is) are true bypass. The old ones (pre 2000ish?) have the old switches.

  • first song creep??

  • did kurt cobain keep the rate up at half

  • By listening to Nirvana live whilst playing with my small clone, most obviously "come as you are" or "drain you".

I can tell kurt kept it usually about 3 o'clock. It fluctuated though. I owned an original SMall Clone too, which may be different than these reissues.

  • how much for the pedal?? and thats the 1 kurt cobain uses on most nirvana songs

  • I LOVE this pedal.

One of the best effeters ever made.

  • must have it:O

  • I'm an now getting this pedal =D

  • nice demo man! I'm not a fan of chorus by any means (most of the time i find it REALLY annoying) but your demo actually showed some really useful sounds. The EHX sounds a lot better to me than the Boss, but how do you think they compare?

  • EHX is better, they have longer battery life and are true bypass

  • false, often EHX pedals are nopt true bypass (small clone use a fet bypass)

  • I love this guy's demos

  • Hey Mike - another great demo!

  • Good decent demo of this FX, thanks.

  • sounds like you're playing the chords to Radiohead's "Creep". I love Radiohead.

  • sounds like you're playing the chords to Radiohead's "Creep". I love Radiohead.

  • If I already have a flanger, should I bother with a chorus pedal?

  • Well, if you like the sounds you hear on this video, then get a chorus pedal (I like the Small Clone, it's pretty versitile). Flanger and chorus are two totally different effects, one can't replace the other. Flanger splits the signal and slowly moves the split signals apart and together again to create the whooshing sound. Chorus splits the signal and then detunes and oscillates one signal.

  • Thaks for the demo, sounds great but, well, that "absurd" sound is kinda funny but not that usefull I think ;) whatever..

Looks like I could get it for 10-15€ used at ebay, nice deal I think

  • For some noise rock its more than usefull

  • what's around your danelectro?

  • help me man -small clone or boss ce5

and small stone or mxr phase 90

im allowed two pedals and need a chorus and phaser

  • the small clone and the mxr phase are better than the others pedals

  • Definitely the Small Clone and MXR Phase 90 . . .if you are also interested in a distortion pedal thats actually good you might want to look into the MXR Distortion III

    Cheers

  • ehhh not the phase 90. it adds a weird boost to the signal which many people hate. best cheap/small phaser: EH nano small stone. The original Stone has a volume DROP, the phase 90 has a volume INCREASE. the small stone nano has no volume problems whatsoever.

  • Thanks for the demo.

"This is getting a bit more absurd now."

    Hilarious.

  • Does it have a volume drop when you turn it on?

  • Nope.

  • iv just got a small clone and mines has a big volume drop, about 50% on my dsl401 and about 25% on my marshall jubilee

  • Mine doesn't do much of a volume drop but it does make a click noise through the amp when I turn it on. I took one back after I got it and exchanged it. EhX wasn't too helpful in the emails I sent either.

  • do you have yours in the amps loop or in front? infront mines is fine its in the loop i have the drop

  • In front, neither of my amps (Vox and a Bad Cat) have Fx loops.

The click seems to build up like it's collecting a charge somewhere. If I don't turn it on for awhile then click it on, it's a loud thumb. If I click it on/off a few times, then the click is just really small.

  • can you daisy chain it with a boss 9v bitches?

  • no you can't. It has different milliamps and the jack is an 8th inch jack (like a headphone jack) instead of your standard 9v. I use the 1 spot daisy chain/power adaptor because it has interchangable plugs and can work with pedals of different milliamps. it only costs 30 bucks too.

  • and would the 1 spot power 2 moogerfoogers?

  • i dont see why not, unless they have a wierd plug that one spot doesnt have an adaptor for.

  • milliamps is not a quality that anything can "have." The stated CURRENT (in milliamps) is how much gets drawn from the power supply. They don't ever have to match like voltages. The combined current of pedals running from one power adaptor shouldn't ever exceed the one that's on the power supply. The newer Small Clones do have a boss-type connector, and definitely can be daisy-chained. Make sure that you don't overload the power supply though!

  • thanks really informative. I don't see why you couldnt power 2 moogerfoogers... unless they drain lots of power or have some sort of wierd plug that one spot doesnt have an adaptor for.

  • RADIOHEAD *O*

    nice pedal dude

  • I think everyone should buy one of these and make it like the ds-1 of chorus pedals. I'm going to.

  • awesome, my future next pedal!

  • Thank you.

I'm an now getting this pedal =D

  • What do you guys think is better, this pedal, or the boss Chorus

  • this owns boss!

  • What makes this better, i am wondering because i want to buy a chorus, and i need to know what is better..

  • The new Boss ce-5 is digital. This is analog. This one is also much wetter and lush and the boss one is almost transparent. (However boss made the ce-1 back in the 70's which is the best analog chorus pedal of ALL TIME if you can afford one)

  • I just bought this not even a week ago and it is amazing and beautiful, it sounds so good.

Although I have never played the boss one.

  • Thanks for the video, I got it yesterday. But I have a question: How long does it work without being charged? Cause I didn't get the adapter.

  • hi__

  • -.- I am the frogman.

  • ???

  • I have DS2 now too. :D

  • Yeah sounds like Creep a lot.

    RADIOHEAD!

  • Sounds like the first song you're playing is Creep.

  • Nirvana Land is kind of like HOOGIE BOOGIE LAND!!!!

  • hahha indeeed it is!
