Nice tutorial, i've done this on SNES and GBA. For those who have wondered, the point of doing this with the Moon Pearl and without the Master Sword is so you can have a "hard run" of the dark world with the weak short sword. If you want, you can also skip the desert and tower bosses to do your run with fewer hearts. You only need to defeat the first boss, get the power glove, get the moon pearl, and skip the last 2 boss fights to get to this point.

@lipglossfreak011 You must be doing something wrong, because I've done this many times in the GBA version with no problem.

I would guess you're either moving too far to the right when first warping to the Light World, or you've moving too far to the left when backing into the portal. It can take some practice to be able to move only one or two pixels at a time.

I can do the Death Mountain Descent right before I defeat Agahnim. I can try it on either the SNES/Wii or even a GBA.

Step 6 should really be optional, since the graphical bugs are half the fun. :-)

What? Why not? I've used this glitch a ton and it's never caused anything that stopped me from progressing in the game. The worst that's happened was leaving the ravine too far to the right and having to reset because I couldn't drop down from the ledge.

You should have done it without having the Moon Pearl. Kind of a useless (for the most part) trick when you have the Moon Pearl.
