This isint a glitch. The explosion at 00:24 - 00:25 is proof the identical samuses are what cause the damage when speed boosting. Try boosting into a wall diagonally and watch the explosion on the wall the other two samuses make. They can actually kill enemies if riccoched properly.
@DessiatoTAS-I know about speed echoes. They happen to be the most powerful attack in the game, dealing 2048 damage, killing almost any enemy instantly. They appear whenever you shinespark.
@Multiviola-I am aware that there are multiple "Samuses" while she runs, but they disappear normally when she stops. The glitch is a result of the X-Ray Scope not resulting in in-game momentum halting while she is stopped. After I release the X-Ray scope the "clones" disappear.

Even if you didn't use the glitch, if you look closely at Samus speedboosting, there are still 3 Samuses.

Dude the glitches works because when you speed boost, you go so fast that it seems that you have clones.
