Honestly, all these comparisons feel stupid to me as there really is no absolute scale, on which you could place musicians. Rob definitely has a skill, Metallica don't take in just anyone. And as for the playing style, you like one bassist, I like another, there is no better or worse. It's not atletics, where you can mesaure how many seconds it takes for the runner to cross 100 m distance.
