it would still hit it farther away... The USP is already one of the most accurate, toughest pistols out of the box on the market. The Mark 23 USP is like the high-end model of the USP built for like the Spec Ops teams and stuff. It costs about $2k new... a USP .45 costs around $1k new. But I'd definately go for the Mark 23 if you can afford it. I'd still rather have a Colt 1911 Gold Cup, cuz I'm a 1911 lover, but the Mark 23 is probly the best gun on the market.
@hogger129 Only problem is that it is SO big. A 1911 can be carried much more comfortably in my opinion- as it can be a lot more easily concealed. If those differences were not there I would probably get the mk23 over a 1911- I like the mk23's simplicity and light frame and like you say "toughness". I just have trouble getting past the size.
@frost122585 - Yes I agree there. The Mk. 23 has a long barrel and wider frame although it's lighter than a Government Model 1911. Another thing I might add too, and I take back my Gold Cup comment, because the 1911s like that which are tuned for competition are probably going to be less reliable than a Mk. 23 out in the field. I meant to say something more like Springfield TRP or Kimber TLE II would be a perfect 1911 for the same use as a Mk. 23 does.
I probably prefer a good 1911 too but the lightness and capacity of the HKs make them tempting. Also I think the HKs look cool. One thing that sucks about the regular USP is the trigger pull- like squeezing a stapler gun. The MK23 has a better trigger- when HK makes their regular 45s with reasonable triggers I might get one. Until they do that I prefer the 1911 too.
could that target be any closer you pussy
