omg!!! I may have to take another look at Ron Paul... And yes... why is the focus on Assange... and why are we not more angry at the lies that were told...and at those who told them...
A search on the Lexis database found that no major television network or cable news network even mentioned Winter Soldier over the weekend, neither did the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times or most other major newspapers in the country. The editors of the Washington Post chose to cover Winter Soldier but placed the article in the local section.
Daniel Ellsberg, who lives in Berkeley (surprised?) wrote his Pentagon Papers decades before I was born, but I studied our history and Ellsberg should have been tried as the TRAITOR he is and executed! This old buzzard is seen all over Berkeley ... I'll "engage" him the next time I see him. . . it won't be pleasant for him.
I know there are a lot of ignorant people who are misinformed and you may face some backlash, but hopefully Julian has learned his lesson and won't simply 'hand himself in' again.
If the judge releases him, my words will be 'too close for comfort' and 'build a new batcave, Assange.'
@tantoedge Dont underestimate the stupidity of swedish so called "justice". iknow they are just stupid academics and lower nobodys who live by robbing taxes and living good and jumping to often on ordinary people for nothing. I like you and your movies even though we often disagree. You're a funny guy and a respect your art, but this is dangerous territory you're dabbling in here.
Totally uncool of you to put up bail money for this guy, Mr. Moore. He's an enemy of our country and his motives are clear. Regardless of your position on our government's involvement in any war, you shouldn't be helping our enemies get the upper hand. I hope that's not your motive. If it is, you've lost a fan.
he is totally for America - you know that famous saying? A patriot must always been willing to defend his country - against its government. The US government lied to the American people and nearly 5,000 American soldiers got blown up invading Iraq based on lies...do you not recognise who the REAL enemy is?? WAKE UP.
@djtrixen Open your eyes, your government is corrupt. If anything Mr. Assange has done americans a favour by showing how corrupt the US government is.
@djtrixen You suggest Assange clearly had bad intentions. What do you think Assange's motives were and what evidence do you have to support your accusation?
He does not appear to be an enemy of the American public to me. If anyone put Americans in harms way, it was our government, not Assange. Are you at all angry with the government officials who lied to us, or is just Assange who is at fault in your opinion?
Wikileeks is our only hope of providing truth to our public. The documents sent to Wikileeks were gifts from people who didn't want to loose their job by going against those above them who have taken their power over the lines written in our constitution that provide vigilance against anyone or group over powering anyone else....and of course the lines that hope we can ever become a more perfect union.
Sorry to all his fans that don't want to hear this. But you do realize that he's opened himself up to global scrutiny because of this. Out of all the thousands of online articles, blog posts and Tweets, I can't believe I'm the only one who's caught this.
Just heard that Michael Moore put up a lot of Assange's bail money. Now, he's out under "strict conditions".
I've also heard that Moore offered Wikileaks some of his server space in the States. He also got Assange to appear in his next film about Wikileaks. Assuming that all of this is true, then the ONLY reason he posted some bail money was "to stand up for free speech and the important work that Wikileaks does"?
Wong he is still in jail and only 2 people can bail at each 20,000 pound, 200,000 must come from his own fundings (Wau Holland). And the swedisch challenged the bail. Bad - because the high court might be worse.
If the US is able to get Assange, and the US media doesn't stand up against this, and if one day the US media published any secretive from another country I just hope that country will prosecute them.
I partly agree, but he happens to be one of maybe 4 who could actually challenge and bring about real change on major issues like the economic enslavement of Americans, and the brutal sham of senseless wars. He's far from perfect, but honestly, if it helps the uphill fight to restore sanity, I can put aside minor differences.
Isn't funny how almost all of us who are anti-war are supporting Assange and those who love war, lies and corruption love to hate him? It's just more proof how wrong the right is, and dems like Hillary who condemn Assange are fucking liberal traitors, the progressives should gut and take over the democratic party. Assange had the ultimate deepthroat.
Western governments are far too fond of secrecy. In order for democracy to work we need information to base our voting choices on. Without that information we may as well go into the voting booth and pick a candidate at random.
sure.. wiki was set up by the cia people... it's all about the fact that the government needs a reason to shut down the internet.. they already have the solution, internet 2 after all.. wiki doesn't want you to know the cia created alkaeda.. hmm more secrets... we need a wiki 2 that is created by REAL whistle blowers to stop their lies.
@keiiykeii Internet 2 has nothing to do with allowing a or any entity more control over the internet than it already does now, internet 2 is just a different platform to move information, it's all technical and has little to nothing to do with a conspiracy, and I love conspiracies.
Thanks Daniel for bringing up US policy in Afghanistan. And thanks for being a true patriot...damn, I hate that word, we need another...in the face of possible prosecution.
C'mon! Assange is nothing more than a PsicOp. Please americans! You know what I want to see? I want to see a significant rise in the level of compassion we have for our fellow sisters and brothers who are being slaughtered and blown to bits for no other reason than being a human being in a particular geographic location. The United States Government is LITERALLY blowing babies' arms and legs off EVERY SINGLE DAY. Is that acceptable to you?!
There is practically NO "public outrage" against Wikileaks. Everyone and their grandmother loves Wikileaks and Julian Assange. The outrage is coming from government officials and their paid shills and the dumbasses who believe what the corporate media tells them. I know a lot of people who have earned the respect they deserve and NONE of them feel negatively toward Julian Assange and his mission.
@WellIAMScottish Word, I mean i voted for obama and I dont want him to keep these kinds of secrets from us. I think alot of conservatives want to know more about what this administration is doing as well. What funny is the public totally agrees, more info less secrets, and the only ones against it are fox news and republicans in power and the white house, how typical the ones in power dont like when they are called on there bullshit.
The lines are being drawn. You are either on the side of Julian Assange, Bradley Manning, Wikileaks, Ellsberg, Roberts, Moore, Truth.... or you on the side of the warmongers, the pentagon, the halliburtons, the blackwaters. Choose your side and choose it quick. The world is changing rapidly. You really don't want to be on the losing team.
Marvellous - history in the making. But the 'truth storm' Assange has caused is the arrival of a new, electronic global 'ITocracy' that has now quietly (and intractably) overrun the military-industrial-political system of the past thousands of years. Do a YouTube search for 'truth storm' or 'ITocracy, to learn about it. The global public, tired of war & poverty, has deserted the old elite domination, despite it's panic-fraud bluster. The genderless Internet is now our benevolent, leadership.
the USA should be exposed for all of its wrong doings.. the USA should be on trial for all of its illegal activities.. anyone calling for assange's head need their own examined.
The United States Government has become the Catholic Church in response to these leaks.
Instead of discussing why these documents were hidden and why we were lied to, they just talk about how to cover it up and punish the victims while keeping themselves safe.
@3101010 and those soldiers in the video and their superiors should be charged with murder, and the us army should be charged internationally for using torture, and not respecting human life and human rights, and for the intervention in a country´s affairs when they have not been called.
"Juian Assange.... spying" & "WAR OF WIKILEAKS" the opening statement made by Oberman only strengthens my opposition 2 the mainstream media.
The only WAR going on is the one the U.S. created with rest of the world. Receiving classified info that the people need 2 know in order to make clear decisions about who they want to represent them politically and economically and making it available to everyone is not "WAR" unless you profit from hiding this info in order to conduct your own evil agenda.
The first time I heard of this whole ordeal I it made me think of one the cliche scenes from teen comedies. You know the one where the middle man between a note writer, and the intended note recipient gets wrongfully accused. Leaving the wrong person blamed, and undeservedly embarrassed having to stand in front of the class and read another person's dumb comments like "I bet the teacher lieks mudkipz! Chris Chan's sperm "recycling" video made me squirtz till it hurtz, lulz!".
Assange is doing for the NWO more than a a whole pack of Rockefellers and Rostchilds together.... (half of the Assange's supporters, are stupid "caviar" kids (red and expensive), the other half are "demons" with suit and tie...) This planet is really funny, I think I'll stay here 'till the end of the soap opera).
The govt spies on us so fck em, get over it, try catching the criminals on wall street and bush and cheney, Hell W wrote in his book that he tortured. wtf
@makeitallrite Interesting how the U.S. govt can find and detain someone who clearly is doing something good for the people but they seem to have forgotten about their #1 most wanted... Bin Laden.
Anyone else think that govts really represent the people now?
The U.S. govt (and all democratic govts) are corrupt and lie to the ppl that vote them in. Hasn't anyone worked that out yet? All Wikileaks has done is expose the lies. If you'v got nothing to hide then let ppl read the cables. Pretty simple.
cuzz the banks control you freaks... money talks and you dogs do their bidding... no shame, no shame... are these people in policy, the white house really Men or just prostitutes....???
Funny, or not so, that Eric Holder prosecutes Wikileaks relatively minor releases, and yet does NOT prosecute Bush/Cheney for war crimes as other nations have started to do...
Once more, Obama disappoints profoundly....
Unlike, Obama or Holder, Daniel Ellsberg is a great American.
@bbbbmer; Fixing an economy is more important than getting Cheney, Bush, and Rice to sit in the dock. Also, you or anybody else can't expect Obama to solve all of what George Bush caused in just one year or four.
Funny, or not so, that Eric Holder prosecutes Wikileaks relatively minor releases, and yet does NOT prosecute Bush/Cheney for war crimes as other nations have started to do...
@grendelcatt Yeah I would really like to know who in our government is actually leaking all of these documents, and more importantly why. I have a really hard time believing that a 22 or 23 year old had access to such documents, let alone so many of them. And yeah it is treason punishable by death.
If the 22 or 23 year old really did have access to all of those documents (BS), we should be asking how the hell that is possible and why all our eggs were in one basket. But yeah im thinking diversi
I don't think its the citizens of the US that are upset at Assange, its the korporate Republicans and Democrats that are upset and their minions in the korporate press. If their are citizens upset at Assange then they support the wars or they are confused. Bravo Assange, bravo WikiLeaks, bravo Ellsberg, support WikiLeaks, end the wars, end the Fed.

Any american media organisations reporting on the leak about Pizer experimenting on Nigerian children and blackmailing their judiciary?

Bin Laden.
Anyone else think that govts really represent the people now?
venuecam 1 year ago 2
The U.S. govt (and all democratic govts) are corrupt and lie to the ppl that vote them in. Hasn't anyone worked that out yet? All Wikileaks has done is expose the lies. If you'v got nothing to hide then let ppl read the cables. Pretty simple.

@venuecam i think the problem is, cna they handle the truth? But actually i think the American people can.

Also, you or anybody else can't expect Obama to solve all of what George Bush caused in just one year or four.

why arn't there, any stories on the actual leaks, in the main stream media. Mr. Assange is being used as a side-show of diversion...
grendelcatt 1 year ago
