If you guys can believe it, the Rockies qualified for the 1978 playoffs with a 19-40-21 record! LOL. But they finished 2ND in their division that year, & the top two teams in each division automatically qualified, so that's how they did it. But the Flyers pushed them aside in 2 games straight anyway... :-);-)
@65wolfpack Man,do i miss Prism. All the 76ers,Flyers and Phils. Movies that are now cult classics were shown first run. Even the edited versions of adult films were cool. Especially the unrated Alice In Wonderland with the snapping p****. Good times indeed.
PRISMs final telecast,on 9/30/97 was a Phillies baseball game.although i don't recall who it was against. after that,PRISM was gone, gone but never forgotten. RIP PRISM,we miss you!
you know this was the only season the rockies made the nhl playoffs.they did have a poor record w/many many ties and that's how they got in.however i loved the rockies and though they lost 2 games to 0 here they gave philly all they could handle losing in ot and another by only 2 goals.

Long live the Spectrum!! And Prism! And the Colorado Rockies NHL team for that matter. ;)

Unfortunately, thanks to Flyers owner Ed Snider, the beloved Spectrum won't live much longer. 2009 is the last year for this wonderful arena.
Apparently, a hotel is more important than a landmark with world-class acoustics.

Wow. Hugh Gannon and Ray Schultz called the game. Former Flyer Doug Favell in goal for Colorado. Awesome.
Retrodan, you're my new favorite YouTuber - your Flyers stuff is great!!
