just bout these $45 pans and im debating if i want to return them... do i have to make 2 of each and frost them together? , and does trimming the edges soften the cake? because i dont want the fondant to weigh the cake down...?
How do you use the heating core? Do you just put it in the centre of the pan and pour your batter in and/or around it and bake, taking it out when the cake is baked? Won't you end up with a cone shaped hole in the middle of your cake or do you just put the middle bit back in if you pour batter into the core?
@fairytalerescue ihaven't used it. i just baked teh larger pillow cake at a lower t emperature. i believe you pour some batter in the core, then put the core in the pan and pour the rest in the pan. but not 100 percent sure
Hi again, can you tell me how much buttercream icing you used for the medium size pillow? I'm making it for my daughter's Bday end of this month and don't know how much I would need!
"Wow, I luv the end result...you made them pillows into a beautiful elegant cake. Would you recommend buying the set besides the edges getting over baked?? Thank you."
I was just looking at those in the Wilton Yearbook and thinking about getting them. But I don't do as much at home decorating, so I'm not sure they would be a vital investment. But looks like they work well!! Can't wait to see you decorate more cakes!! :D

@yaniangelicstyle i would because the shapes are consistent..i did trim the edges a little to get rid of the hard edges..turned out fine

@fairytalecakes I can't remember, but have you ever posted a video of how to carve the pillow? And if not, could you? Hehehehe.
