this expansion has absolutely nothing to do with the Lore. This expansion is just the beginning of a plot that will make more sense as the game proceeds. However, I think it is very childish that this new expansion is based on a Disney movie and how Blizzard is trying to make the game easier getting rid of key elements such as talent trees and flying. WOW is turning more into just a regular button mashing game than a game of skill. Without talent trees, each class will relatively be the same.
If I remember correctly if you solve the sheep puzzle in the W3 expansion you get a bonus tower defence level, and if you win that a "pandaren" hero is available in the following mission (the one with the prison cage), and in another mission where you have to teleport around a lot you can find another such hero as an easter egg (but he just kind of mumbles something and runs off-map)
So they did exist in W3 but they where really easy to miss.

I did help him to kill his mentor Uther and to defeat the noble High Elves to reach the Sun Well and resurrect Archimonde. I did lead the Orcs to Kalimdor with Thrall, made alliance with the Cairne and Vol'Jin, defeated the Pitlord Mannoroth to free the orcs from his course. Then we defeated Archimonde with all the races. Not a single Pandarian was seen.

Still not a single Pandarian was mentioned. I did help Rexxar at his quests and there he met a Panderian who came from distant lands to get some herbs for the new ale he was working for.

I have red the books where Broxigar and his friends traveled back in time, helped the Night Elfes at the 1st invasion of the Burning Legion, there were Furbolgs, dwarfes, but never have I seen the pandarians. And now, that my WoW char got the explorer title a new race pops up in the WoW, what I have never seen in the game and you say it is in the lore

And now they just pop out from the Earth like nothing happened. Pre BC was the best, BC was still playable, the other expansions just sucked hard.

TBC was fun, Vanilla was broken since a lot of spec's weren't viable (rose-tinted nostalgia goggles for most), WotLK sucked, Cata had the most disappointing end-raid ever.

@PanebOgnik NOPE! Wrong, They weren't horde and did NOT help horde. You just encountered one that gave you quests. Thats all. In fact they actually lived with the Kaldorei. Malfurion and the Pandarens agreed that worgen form was uncontrollable so they banned it. When WoA broke out Ralaar and his druids used worgen form to defeat the sytars and the Pandaren left Kalimdor because of it. After the starting questline for a Pandaren you will be able to choose between Alliance or Horde :)

@ht448 after leaving the quest zone u will chose horde or ally. it is a all round faction race but once u choose u will still be an enmey to opposite faction unless faction changed
Is the Panda Alliance or horde? It has to be a new rank becouse otherwise one side will have more then the other... unless there is two races and only one has been revealed?
@ht448 At level 10 or so, you accept a quest to either go to SW or Org, at least, that's what I heard. I assume it'll be like DKs where you accept a quest but this time you chose ur side.

Why does everyone hate this? This looks the best thing since BC/Vanilla!? Seriously the only good part of cata was the 4.0 patch then everything was nerfed and content became boring and short because of the morons that play this now; atleast MoP gives stuff to do outside of raiding. Also, i don't think people understand this as an "adventure unlike any we've seen thusfar"; one reason why people have quit wow is because they've been playing the same thing for 6 odd years. MoP brings NEW stuff.

@zumerian This have nothing to do with kung fu panda you noob. Pandarens were mentioned since Warcraft 3. It was about time they got them in WoW. Diablo 3 is awesome, I admit it, but WoW is the game for me and for the other millions of players that already joined its fantastic comunity and the onces yet to join. @TheRenegadezzz Ya played it for 5 years, not to mention all the previous instalments of the warcraft series(the first beginning some 17 years ago). I left wow when they messed up BG Q times(20min waits was not something I'm into), came back when they fixed them(Only took them half a year but hey, Yay for 2-5min wait times again). Could not care less about wow lore, giving consideration to playing with teddy bears or playing Diablo 3, I know what I chose and I'm entitled to my opinion .1..

@TheRenegadezzz And that fan base you talk of, its dropping pretty damn fast. Most MMO's have 5-10 year life cycle and really if you get involed after its been out for 3 years you already missed the best part of the game. Tooo many expansions haven't overhauled the game's graphics, and haven't really added much to the gameplay. Want a real troll comment - Get off the crack, try something new, you might get a pleasant surprise.
