I'm starting to think that I am really not just getting these toys for my daughter because I just spent another $250... Buzz, woody, potato head, lots-0, soldiers, Barbie and Ken. They have all these collection toys at ToysRUs still.  I figured we might as well have the whole gang...now I just need Rex.

For that to be perfect, one it would have to glow more, two it would have to have the karate chop action, three the arms bend down a bit more, and lastly his helmet would have to close completely. Oh yeah, it needs a spanish mode. Nice review though.

I was OBSESSED with TS when I was 5-8. I wanted all of the Buzz Lightyear stuff that you see in the movies, (especially the Video game at the beginning of TS2. And now they even have THAT! (I may get it anyways) :D

Actually, If you review the footage from toy story 1, right after Buzz finishes flying (Falling with style) you will see that when Buzz retracts his wings, the wings fold down and up, just like the figure! This toy is almost exactly like the one from the movie. Amazing review! Keep it up pal!!!

No Karate Chop Action + No Moving His Arms At His Side = NO SALE.

If they had put in a karate chop feature like the movie had we'd most likely lose 1) The wings 2) Any real movement for the right arm and 3) the electronics for that arm including the laser.

Look at the advances made between this figure and the first one. They might be able to add those features sometime in the future.

The karate chop feature would require a button on the back, eliminating the wings from being able to spring out unless they cut a section of the wings out for the button.

From there you'd have the arm being moved by the button. From the toys that I've seen using a gimmick like that you can either strip the gears or even break the mechanism entirely if you move the arm on your own.

It's as possible as his arm having electronics and still being removable thanks to one connector peg.

@JTMitchell87 I think you would technically be able to have a button connected to the arm, if Buzz was made exactly as he is in the film, so that the wings fold up under the battery compartment (as shown in the library scene in the third film), but how well it would actually work is questionable.
