That's all nice, but what ever happened to common sense, and knowing what you are buying or selling in the first place? By the way, A GFCI does not shut down on a "surge" but protects against current seeking ground other then thru the GFCI. IE: leaking of current to ground.
I couldn't agree more with a Home Inspector. a buyer and seller can both benefit with one. a seller can find problems to fix before listing to problems don't arise later. a buy needs one to locate problems before purchase. so many times here in Florida tile showers leak and tile floors come up due to improper installs.
