  • Lucas has always loved that cyan/blue helvetica font, hasn't he.

  • @creolefreak22 He uses the same font, in red, for Red Tails! I love it, it's a holdover from old documentaries.

  • @amaxamon I completely hated the use of that font in Red Tails, man. The film deserved a dedicated title sequence. It was completely too plain and out of place for the opening of a WWII comic book adventure. Those horrible titles were also superimposed over a pretty important scene that gets somewhat lost because the audience's attention is divided when it should be focused on the scene. George dropped the ball there.

  • @creolefreak22 Heh heh, I liked it, I thought it looked like a comic book "splash page" with text over action, a logo followed by block text. What did you think of the movie otherwise? I think it's a real throwback to GL's 1970's style, a refreshingly unusual film.

  • @amaxamon I enjoyed the film but was also disappointed with it. The film definitely has the charm of GL's early stuff: witty characters, brilliant action and that naive innocent charm. I enjoyed the story of Easy and Lightning but I didn't care for the movie's plot. From the standpoint of action films, the Nazi Ace villain wasn't used to his full potential for drama. It's a war movie but I never felt any stakes in any of the beautiful dogfight sequences until the very end. And then it was over.

  • We love the process of filmmaking, but often hate the execution.

  • So pimp how Lucas gives himself a nice little inpicture pan over to himself and the music gets all pimp and badass. Yeah bitch I directed this!!!

  • "there's more nourishment in a good film than in a box of wheaties." totally agree.

  • Great to watch. Can't believe how clean shaven Coppola looks!

  • That was awesome.

  • awesome.....

  • Now if only someone would post Coppola's home movie of Brando transforming himself into Vito Corleone with shoe polish and Kleenex. THAT's the holy grail!

  • Wow, thanks very much for posting this, I've been looking all over for it ever since reading about it in Michael Schumacher's excellent book on Coppola.

  • Thanks so much. I've wanted to see this for years!

  • How did you get hands on this? I would love to have a copy of my own.

  • Great!! I recognized Lucas's voice in some of the narrations. Also nice to see clean shaven Coppola. This is truly a rare opportunity. Tanks for uploading!

  • I mean thanks...

  • Awesome Thank you for posting. This movie means alot to me .
