  • anybody think that his train is cute for a 3,000 pound machine

  • thanks

  • @MrUBtrollin2 thanks again buddy

  • @limitedcomplex no problem

  • @MrUBtrollin2 thanks and another question how about ocarina of time 3D because my cosine has the 3Ds should I get that instead

  • @limitedcomplex Ocarina of Time is probably the best games of all-time...need do i say more? and it's easier than Spirit tracks so yeah get it instead of spirit tracks

  • @MrUBtrollin2 just get both, both are real good

  • @mememejst why did you reply to me? :P

  • Just wondering I was thinking about buying this for my twelve year old cosine but they haven't played any Zelda game before would this be a good game

  • @limitedcomplex defiantly!, but it might be kind of hard for a 12 year old but i think it's better if you get them skyward sword if he/she owns a wii and Motion plus

  • @MrUBtrollin2 hell I was 20 when I played this and I found it refreshingly difficult. zelda games have been WAY dumbed down since majora's mask in terms of challenge. in spirit tracks I actually got killed a few times

  • @MrCheckersmcgee yup, but that's why Hero Mode exists in skyward sword

  • @MrUBtrollin2 I found that easy too tbh >.<

  • This game was good, but I think Phantom Hourglass was better...

  • do u need the microphone to play this?

  • I don't know about you guys, but the Spirit Flute worked fine for me.

  • I was really enjoying this game until I got to the Fire Sanctuary. After that the game came to a screeching halt as I can't seem to play the song required to open the tracks to the Fire Temple. It sucks that this otherwise good game has to be bogged down by one badly implemented gimmick. Hopefully I'll be able to move on with it but it frustrated the hell out of me.

  • Wait, I thought it was Spirit Tracks... Then Phantom hourglass..... it just seems like it!

  • I really enjoyed both this and Phantom Hourglass

  • Two things I strongly dislike is the music in this game, the credits and overworld themes are amazing, but much of the other music is just plain boring for a Zelda game. The other is blowing to use the Pan Flute, why could we not just use the freakin bottons! They aren't really used to anything important in the DS Zelda games!

  • I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I respect that, but I don't understand why some people think PH is better than this game. It has better graphics. The Tower of Spirits is much more in style than the TotOK. I thought the use of the microphone was a great deal in this game, and the list goes on. Oh well, I'm probably going to get so much hate mail and thumbs down on this comment now that I have said this. I haven't played this game in a while, but I still remember it.

  • @Marklmon1 Graphics don't make a game bro

  • I don't understand IGN sometimes. This was the most dissapointing Zelda game I have played, with uninspired characters and a dull overworld which was deprived of exploration by the retarded train gimmick.

  • @odavies94 Yeah I guess they haven't really played much of the other Zelda games. Spirit Tracks is a good game, but it's simply an ok Zelda game.

  • So I Cant Play It On A 3DS? Damn Oh Well Still A Must Buy.

  • @Vandel1254 you can play it on a 3ds.

  • I agree. This game was so fun and clever!!! Loved it.

  • I like this game because the cell shade games are easier than the rest so i can actually finish them.( i kinda suck at zelda but i really like it lol) i did beat majoras mask though

  • best 3d game on ds

  • modern warfare 3- 9/10

    spirit tracks- 9.3/10

it is clear that this game is better than call of duty

  • Comment removed

  • wind waker, phantom hourglass, and spirit tracks were a great games, as games alone, but they a bad exsample of zelda, they dont really define the series.

  • in ST it sounds like he's gone through puberty a bit

  • Finally, dry land (or at least for the most part) looks like Link succeeded.

  • I dislike the time thing on phantom hourglass in the main dungeon, fuck that shit.

  • 'moronic AI' made me chuckle.

  • the train KILLED this game.

  • @windkai LOL U retard. Without the train, it would have been stale. The train made you think.

  • @10samm10 Nigga so you're prefectly fine with a Zelda on Rails? You're the retard, you'd preferred a linear world next to an open world, and you call the other stale?

  • @windkai No, it really didn't.

  • I thought phantom hourglass was a tad boring, so I skipped this

  • I thought it was boring, hardly felt like a Zelda game

  • i only didnt like the train bits

they were fun at first, but sometimes just drag on to long

  • Spirit Tracks: Awesome. No one can say anything that will make me think otherwise

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.....is just plain awesome.

  • They should've added a button to simulate blowing in the mic or something. DS is pretty crappily made and the mic can easily break.

  • I played this game and was loving it when..... my mic broke. Sadly, you cant finish the game when this happens. FML

  • @TheJellybean417 wow you have 4 of the 18 games good for you

  • I beat this game, it was my second favorite Zelda with windwaker in first.

  • @FanThemePark Wind Waker is awesome. I really hope they remake it for 3DS. I'd be the first in line.

  • @MrxSuppressedx it'd be pointless. Wind waker looks amazing already. They need to remake majora's mask

  • Well its almost been 2 years since the release of this game now and i still play it! Anyways i beat it but i just drive trains around! LOL

  • @Grnvolpe Things like that have been around since the very first Zelda, at least the Japanese one, where you killed a Pols Voice by either blowing or yelling into it, I can't remember which.

  • i want all the zelda games but sadly i only have all the console ones and no hand held ones or a gameboy ds to play them

  • @SalvaJor11 Get a DS or Gameboy advance SP on amazon there dead cheap now 3DS has come out :)

  • man m so glad the 3ds isn't going to see the return of all touch controls on the next zelda

  • @trollbie When was that confirmed?

  • @jamesliebone In an interview, Eiji said that he wants Zelda 3DS to be closer to the console iterations. I for one, am happy about that! I want the game to look either like OoT 3D, or like the original games (Child Link with a shield decorated with a cross). And I have an idea for the instrument Link should play. A Saxophone! They could call it the Sacred Sax!

  • I really don't know if I should consider buying this game... I absolutely loved Phantom Hourglass, so I'm afraid, that i'll get disappointed. Is it worth it? Is the story as awesome as Phantom Hourglass?? :)

  • @HeyoEmma DO IT! IT'S AWESOME!!!!

  • @SuperSkarmory2 Just bought it! I'll receive it in one day. YES SIR :D

  • @HeyoEmma It's a Zelda game. I don't know why you're worried. :)

  • @42guide42 Haha, yeah. So right :)

  • @HeyoEmma Hell yes! Just as good, I would say.

  • I heard this was the worst zelda game but ign doesnt think so

  • @dpasdamoney I agree, the CD-i games were better.

  • i just completed the phantoom hourglass...

I WANT THE PLAY THE CONTINUED VERSION DX

  • The Train moves painfully slow. I would like this game better if the train parts weren't so boring.

  • @TheJellybean417 coming from someone who has clearly never played a Zelda game.

  • @TheJellybean417 bias*

  • original? its basically PH with a train, still good game though

  • @MrAlekz hey, they've added tons of more stuff in this

  • @MrAlekz Not even. Temple of the Ocean King was awful design, where as Spirit Tower is amazing. The dungeons and puzzles designed around Link and Zelda's teamwork are way more entertaining and memorable, whereas most dungeons in Phantom Hourglass were pretty forgettable really. Its a lot more polished.

  • @MrAlekz naw its much more than that as he said "dig a little deeper"

  • @MrAlekz it is ph with a train, but better!

  • @MrAlekz I disagree, I think that it improved most of the flaws of PH. The biggest improvement is with the game's central dungeon, as I do not have to replay previous rooms like I did with PH, and the rooms, themselves, are more varied IMO.

Still, I hate that it's still 95% touch-controlled. The D-Pad and face buttons are only used for bringing up simple menus. Movement & sword combat feel a bit clunky with touch controls.

  • @MrAlekz

Are you fucking retarded? Spirit Tracks took all the good of Phantom Hourglass and improved upon it, and all the bad of Phantom Hourglass and actually made it good. It also improved the graphics, controls, and it had a killer story that was an actual unique extension of the Zelda timeline as well (unlike Phantom Hourglass which played more like a Wind Waker side story)

  • @CalebARobertson same concept as PH

  • @MrAlekz

Wait what? Are you stupid? The same concept? By that logic you could say that Wind Waker is just A Link To The Past with 3D Cel Shaded Graphics.

    You are an idiot.

  • @CalebARobertson same game son same game

  • @MrAlekz

So you do admit that you believe all Zelda games are exactly the same? You might be one of the stupidest people on the internet I've encountered in quite some time...

  • @CalebARobertson No, just phantom hour glass and ST are the same but with a train

  • @MrAlekz

I don't even... Are you mentally retarded? or just incapable of reading?

  • @CalebARobertson sure, change the subject *facepalm* internet these days

  • @MrAlekz "internet these days" *facepalm

  • @Jeanology14 ""internet these days" *facepalm" *facepalm*

  • @MrAlekz ohhh god you're an idiot

  • @Jeanology14 god doesnt exist and if he does hes an idiot

  • @MrAlekz He's all way's been here, and all ways will. he's no idiot, he's wiser than anyone!

  • @frycook48 *always, more wise

  • @MrAlekz Its not the same. There is new dungenons, areas and items, and if thats not a big enough change for you, then all the Zelda games is totally alike for you. Yes, i agree that the graphics havent changed at all.

  • @MrAlekz Nah. The history telling and the puzzles are better, but it almost doesn't have a teletransport system, making you travel A LOT.

  • this guy sounds like hes talking off a script i dont blame him

  • @cpackwood1 Every reviewer uses a script.

  • I've never understood why developers add blowing into the mic. Have they even tried it? Can you look and feel more stupid than when you do that?

  • @Grnvolpe I agree, whenever I had to use the Spirit Flute while I was playing away from home, I would always wait until I got home or when nobody was looking.

  • @Grnvolpe yeah and also when ur using the spirit flute in the car it is just broken it doesnt work AT ALL

  • Comment removed

  • @Grnvolpe I can somewhat understand it with Nintendo, because they implemented the mic into the DS hardware, so they might as well take advantage of it.

What I really hate is that they don't at least INCLUDE the option to use a button instead of a mic for using the Spirit Flute. Why should we be forced to play games in an unconventional, awkward way? The same goes for motion controlled games like DKCR & Skyward Sword: why not INCLUDE Classic Controller support for Zelda veterans?

  • @catholicgamer99 Or Gamecube Controller support.

  • I wish they didn't use stylus navigation.

Really hoping for a traditional top-view Zelda game using d-pad navigation. I have actually been playing Link's Awakening DX on my 3DS more than I play Ocarina of Time.

There's just something about the top-view Zelda games that is so special to me.

  • @BeautyBoyTV phantom hourglass and spirit tracks are top-view.

    just slightly 3D.

  • @LlamasInYourCloset

I know they are still top-view, that's why I said "traditional top-view", as in using the traditional control scheme.

  • @BeautyBoyTV eh, i think it's easier with touch controls. i played the d-pad controlled zelda games before these, but i think the touch screen controls were really cool! but i'm not going to argue :3

  • @LlamasInYourCloset

For those of us who are used to the D-Pad and love those older games, the stylus control is not quite as easy to use. Also a lot of users complained that the nub on the stylus wore down after heavy use with those games.

Fortunately on the 3DS the action will most likely happen on the top, so we won't get another stylus-controlled DS Zelda. That could also mean it will be console-style and not top-view though, which would be disappointing to me..

  • @BeautyBoyTV i WAS kind of hoping they'd also make one last DS touch screen controlled zelda game, along with 3DS zelda later, but i guess we can't always get what we want. also, you like the handheld zelda games better than the console ones? :0

  • @LlamasInYourCloset

Definitely... I actually play Link's Awakening on my 3DS more than I play Ocarina of Time 3D!

  • @BeautyBoyTV Makes me wonder how hard they were pressing those stylus's on the screen. O.o

  • I must have watched this review like three times in the time running up to Christmas 2009 :L

  • @savage2833 haha ur such a fag, ur a dumb ignorant worthless worm with no right for opinion haha faggot :p

  • Is this better than Bowser's inside story?

  • @fearonthefat Ive played Bowser's Inside story. Its a very different sort of Mario Bros. game. I personally really liked it more than the zelda series... But I guess its whatever is up to your taste..

  • @fearonthefat yes.

  • i hate playing that flute!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Zelda's a great series! I haven't even had a chance to experience the rest of them yet. Hope they don't make a movie(especially live action lol) It's already good enough, and plus the movie will just lower the experience a little, But if pulled off right it could be good, not necessary though.

  • lol

  • It's Thomas the Tank Engine meets Lord of the Rings!

  • Someone should make a legend of zelda lego game, sounds really fun......

  • i really want to see zelda movie that directed by stephen spielberg or james cameron but if m night shyamalan going to make a zelda movie iam going to say WTF

  • I've not played ST but I'm gunnar get it as I've just finished PH and that game was awesome.

  • ah! the spirit flute never worked properly for me, because my mic on my old ds is a bit fucked up.. I took like 30 mins to complete every musical session and when I found out that the final thing you had to do to kill the final boss was playing a song I raged so much the game froze and I had to do the final boss all over again :S

  • maybe its kinda like majora's mask, termina is like a twin world to hyrule. maybe this is why some of the characters are similar to the ones in phantom hourglass,

  • Hope they make the next installment on 3ds!!!

  • the fighting is easy but I aint complaining. the last song on that zelda instrument was a pain in the ass though for me

  • Its a good game but its so easy!!!

  • i would love to buy Skyward Sword but don't get me wrong been a HUGE FAN OF LEGEND OF ZELDA but I really don't want to spent money on a Motion Plus.

  • @SlimYabby It's required. What you could do is buy a seperate expansion which is only about $20.

  • @SlimYabby

Then you should by the $70 edition, which comes with a golden Triforce Wiimote Plus, so you get a free remote for the $20 the Motion Plus would cost.

  • It's a good game yeah

But as soon as I looked at the game

    I was dissapointed.

    Everything looks the same

They didn't even ATTEMPT to make anything look different

    Still it's okay though

  • This game is fantastic! A lot better than Phantom Hourglass IMO!

  • @TheLegendaryJames really?? then im going to buy it now!!! love zelda!!

  • @EvilMustachedMuffin Go for it, you probably won't regret it. TBH I hated Phantom Hourglass (leading reason: Ocean Temple) for a while, than I started liking it. It turned out that I liked Phantom Hourglass but was still a bit unsatisfied, but Spirit Tracks is no doubt a lot better and overall you will probably be satisfied!

  • SSOOOOo IS IT RECIMENNED?????!!!!!! PLEASE TELL ME AND FAST BEFORE I SPEND MY MONEY ON IT??!!

  • Did he just say "Cuty poot choo-choo train"? ummmm.... whatever, I don't judge.

  • This is a really good game. But what can you expect its Zelda.

  • I liked Phantom HourGlass better, more freedom when adventuring the world

  • hey! NOTHING tops the ocarina!

  • Most people would consider the very first loz they played was the best zelda in the franchise. Oracle of seasons stole my zelda virginity and still cant forget how great that game was.

  • Honestly, I despised the phantom hourglass due to the boring, unimaginative, and repetitive dungeons. I have been considering buying this game, but how are the dungeons? I really hope it is not a lame re-hash of the phantom hourglass, I have heard it was from some people.

  • I dont get it.People hate spirit tracks yet love phantom hourglass.Wind waker was badazz, and fun.For godness sake spirit tracks kicks Phantom hourglasses ass!!!The final boss and the plot were crap.It was fun but I enjoyed spirit tracks better.Ocorina of time was good, but I thought it was overated.

And the review I highly agree with.

  • It's funny, because basically every Zelda game is perfect... It is truly the greatest franchise ever...

  • @Splashy151 Even the CDI games? lolz

  • @Shuda7 haha

  • @Shuda7 THOSE WEREN'T GAMES THEY WERE ABONIMATIONS. NEVER SPEAK OF THEM!

  • @Splashy151 exactly... well you no excluding cdi lol

  • @TheSean432 haha xD

  • @Splashy151 I just wonder what Ganon's up to!

  • @Splashy151

Except Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass, which are both absolutely abysmal.

  • @kramnodd9 Not familiar with the word "abysmal"... But if you're saying that they suck, then I dissagree...

  • @Splashy151

Yeah, it means they suck. Big time. Twilight Princess especially, because we all had big expectations of it. People like it because it's a "realistic" Zelda. But it's bland, it's dull, it's boring, and too easy and it just plain sucks donkey balls.

  • @kramnodd9 Ok fair enough, I enjoyed them though...

  • @Splashy151

    You're lying.

  • @kramnodd9 Ok I admit they weren't the best, But I didnt Have huge a vendetta against them... I thought they were still kinda Ok! Propably wouldn't go back to them!

  • @kramnodd9 hell yeah WW was way better.

  • @Splashy151 this one is lol its fucked up lol the stupid songs are hard as hell

  • @Splashy151 this one is lol its fucked up lol the stupid songs are hard as hell

  • @Splashy151 ur telling me zelda on nes was good?

  • @mrbromantics yes. whats wrong with you. its a classic.

  • @mrbromantics I said Basically, Dosn't have to refer to every game!

  • @Splashy151 yea, i just started playing zelda games. own spirit tracks and ocarina and both seem pretty fun leaning towards ocarina more because some parts of the ST are a bit tedious. if anyone tried phantom hourglass, is it pretty much same as ST or a new experience?

  • @Splashy151 Thats true... But lets face it... Even if S T is a good game it's the worst in the saga

  • Spirit tracks is a sequel to Phantom Hourglass which is a Sequel to Wind Waker. Everyone hated on Wind Waker, but loved Phantom Hourglass, but no they are all hating on Spirit Tracks.

  • I find phantom hour glass better because you can teleport in your boat, you can go where you want in your boat, the train is really slow, and I hate the dark areas

  • this review sucks

  • ocarina of time 3d is so much better!!!

  • 58 people didn't kill the Demon King

  • wind waker is the best i think i beat it twice toon link games ftw

  • I <3 toon link! He's so CUTE! :D

  • AWESOME game!!!!
