I really like how the studio would be dim and then light up when Charlie Van Dyke says "Tonight" and how the studio dims again at the end of the broadcast.

This is a very sexy news open.
And we get to see Scud, the weather dog. I thought it was kind of stupid gimmick, personally.
So this is the initial version of the EWN Tonight open I'd heard about? Huh. This cut reminds me of what WTVJ adopted in late 1988.
