@EllenD159 Well im glad im not the only one, my feeling is BC is just like Ruffian, Im not sure that the world realizes that she has had injuries too, meaning YES they wrap her in cotton wool because she is not a sound horse, shes good & will try her best, she will beat the best, but she may breakdown doing so. I have had a feeling with BC for awhile now. I just hope im wrong, for a change.

@taykyl001 yeah i hope she is resting up good while on her big spell before she heads to europe. i hate comparing racehorses because of all the factors involved with racing but i hope she is as successful as any other great racehorse before her.

@dickran2142battle Oh yes it is. Ruffian ran faster than Secrateriat and when she broke her leg she kept on running, and when Secrateriat had that problem with his lip 9which shouldn't effect his race) he didn't pull as hard as Ruffian did.

Ok so this is something my trainer and I have debated on. He says the match race needed to happen to see if Ruffian could be as great as the colts. To which I say, Ruffian was unbeaten, and the Preakness and Belmont proved that Foolish Pleasure could be beaten. So thumbs up if you think the match race was unnecessary

Very good acting. This can be dull/boring at times... but for being an ESPN movie - I liked it. This movie never got corny like 'Secretariat' did - I wish Disney didn't get to do 'Secretariat' -- too many cheesy lines and scenes.

@SunsetBreyerLover So very true. Horse racing gets a bad rap due to all the negative press. If only the public could see the other side. Every sport has its shortcomings, and horse racing is no exception. Horses however, are the only athletes that stimulate me. It's due to their purity and competitive spirit. They compete for the sheer love of running.

Ruffian was just pure fire and lightning!! The constant fire to want to run, and lightning in a bottle every time she got the chance to do it. This filly won races from distances of 6 furlongs to 1-1/2, and every distance in between. Very rare in America in today's racing that you'll a horse, filly or colt, step up from 6 furlongs to 1-1/2 as quickly as Ruffian did. I saw Ruffian race in the 70's. I've seen Rachel race this decade. IMO, Ruffian would've run Rachel off of her feet. TJMO.
