If you go to newgrounds or his webpage and look at the credits, there is a girl reading a book. There you can see some kind of a drawing. I think that in this video, Vinnie is trying to say that his world is kind of a reversed world. Instead of living in the outside of it, people lives in the inside. The earth is flat and in the middle you have a little piece of outer space, so to speak, and a sun. The guy here fell from one one place of this world to the other place, that is the exact opposite.

This flash movie shows us the beautiful parts of this man's journey up to the space and back down. After camera stops recording this man has spread his presence all over everybody next to his landing zone. He will be remembered.

Anyway: beautiful flash. Very detailed, which is Vinnie's trademark. He has honored us by creating a city of interesting people, events and buildings. I envy his vast imagination,. How he can create amazing stuff from scratch.

Having watched the original version and this one, I'm astounded that the music works perfectly in both versions. Just following the tempo of the music and the general tone, it almost seems like the author planned to have this video work both ways. I recommend that people watch both versions, because you really get a full experience from watching both.

There is a mental health community project called "Icarus Project", where people with bi-polar, or other non-standard mentalities gather together. It can be good as well as bad.

It has it's ups and downs.

As someone already said the forward version is a lot more sad than the original version.

Also, it is obvious vinnie made it backwards from the beggining, otherwise the animation wouldn't have fit the animation at all (and it is obvious on some parts that it was made backwards)

its amazing how the music goes so well with the video in reverse (this video) and this version makes the atmosphere completely different at the end. Felt a bit sad at the end when you see him close his eyes and have the video stop with him inches from the ground.

no, of course Vinnie had to create this in a forward version, then simply turn it backward. You cant go backward like that from the get-go, its requires too much and it would have been clustered and if made forward, would not have made sense. so the song goes perfectly to the forward version because of this

No. At the beginning the things he throws out of his pockets is a drug called Gravitaxis, which makes people float. Those knight guys are CCC's police force. So basically he floats up, and that girl cop jumps onto him trying to arrest him, which he then sprays Gravitaxis in her eye, making her float away. He then reaches Earth's orbit, and the drug wears off (?) which sends him plummeting back to the ground, upon hitting he either dies or doesn't, that's the part of the story we don't know.

There was a person on newgrounds who had the same idea as me about the girl being his friend. But after seeing this, I can tell that she was just doing her mission until he slipped away. I have the same careless expression as him and the one from "days of that day ++" (I think I misspelled the title). Can you do this again but with the entire video backwards. That also means the song too. I want to know how it would sound backwards. It may be EPIC Fail-you're.

It's the same as putting a teaspoon of sugar into a gallon of water. The sugar will separate until it is balanced in the water away from the other sugar if it is to mix. I believe space is like that. The same for meteors, comets, and asteroids, but they are being pulled by gravity. I believe that is the only reason logically why space matter doesn't stand still.

my speculation is that he WAS part of the fireworks. like it's not intentional that that is was it looks like, but that the fireworks may be others doing the same thing. and while i'm not too sure what the drug's effect on people really are, i think it might have something to do with why V put it in reverse in the original...

This makes alot of sense because i have watched Vinnies orignal one alot on Newgrounds and it is an awsome video with its own unique style yet when i see it for the first time backwards i can tell what happened more clearly, like the police girl who was sitting on him let go when he sprayed here with drugs as she was radioing in for help.

@shadowslots I guess he chucked the drugs 'cuz if the cops had hauled him in alive, they couldn't charge him with as much. Maybe possession of that one little vial he ultimately squirted in the policewoman's eye, but not enough to bust him for dealing (which probably has MUCH harder prison time).

At 2:34 the sign says "CCC Limited Air clause 78", possibly providing evidence that the icarus drug somehow violated this law, making the protagonist a criminal. This is as far as i can get with plot speculation. I still can't figure out why he committed suicide. If he had wanted to escape, he could have gotten on the space station at 2:47, but chose to plummet instead. Loved this flash though, the creator normally does faster paced stuff, i recommend "rush 2++" on his site or on newgrounds.

He probably did die. Because first of all, it was in slow motion. IF it was normal speed. Of course you wouldn't be able to see them move their eyes towards the falling person. Since it was slow, we were able to see before his death.

i think the "CCC Limited Air clause 78" sign is marking the upper altitude limit of CCC's airspace.

Anything that flies below that sign will likely need flight clearance, but anything above it is considered to be in space - and thus doesn't need flight clearance.

But it's doubtful he's really THAT far up, in space, because he's conscious the whole time and his hair never stops flapping in the wind (wind = air).

From what i can tell, the protagonist was being arrested for creating (vials and boxes at 0:02) and possibly distributing the "icarus drug" (term written by original creater in his description on the newgrounds site). He had no accomplices because the police girl at 1:30 looks like she was just apprehended the protagonist and was contacting her fellow officers, leading to the protagonist squirting her with one of the drugs on the visor at 1:33 and driving her off by spinning intensly...

Also, he comitted suicide. He was annoyed with the butterfly, which meant he knew what he was doing:

Gravity is pretty much upside down for him. Hence in the beginning,why he is standing on top of the door.

Those drugs are probably the main point to what is the reason his gravity is opposite in the beginning.

Though, I don' think she drugged her. It hit her helmet, so it just irritated her but letting him go by accident.
