It seems to me Boxer could have made a comeback at some point in this game if he just went air units, especially wraiths. Yellow's army consisted primarily of zergs and ultralisks at this point, and he didn't seem to have a whole lot of overlords until the end.

Wraiths could have changed the tide. But Good ol'Boxer was more concerned with making a nuke. Honestly, I think I'm pleased either way.

boxer is not the same man in terms of skill. In terms of mining bases, by late game it was like 5v1 base. Even had boxer killed 2-3 of those bases, there's not much terran can do against ultralisk/defiler without a HUGE ball of marines. On the other hand, yellow had great defiler micro, plaguing and irradiating away.

As someone who didn't watch SC during Boxer's time, this is kind of difficult to understand.  I guess I am of the generation that is just too removed from the "founding." To me watching a guy screw around with nukes instead of playing to win is just not as interesting....if Boxer does it it's epic, if some idiot on icup does it, it's crap?

LOL thats cuz when boxer has already shown time n time again his ability to play. while the excitement does rise from the mere fact of seeing nukes, it is boxers ability that we have seen in the past to WIN with nukes than makes it all the more exciting.

Love how yellow used swarm and plague though. It's so underused against medic marine but it's really effective. You can always run away from swarm but after a plague all the marines AND medics become useless. Hope more zergs do it in the future.

swarm and plague are not underused, its the standard late game tech response to SK mm + vessel

Swarm is always used. Plague is sometimes used (it's mainly used against sci vessels). They are rarely used together. I can't even remember a time when I've seen someone do em both against the same group of medic marines.
