  • intelligence should tell you that the average music consumer does not listen to music on $1400 Genelic's, Adam, JBL etc. most people listen on low to mid-level CONSUMER SPEAKERS!!..to me it seems very logical and wise to have a pair of cheap monitors set up for listening to your mixes. Motown did the samething with car radio speakers in the 60s..it is of the utmost impotance that your mixes transfer well to a consumer enviroment..stop hatin you sound racist and ignorant..

  • I can`t get impressed with tons of equipment and no real talent at all.

Give me a cheap Edirol Orchestral and I can kick some thousand dollars rig`s ass

  • Ummm Your "Ballin" Buying 20 nikkos And You Monitors are DOO DOO LO LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • he got money for open labs but not for monitors :)

  • @anakin808 damnn lucky

  • what a bunch of posers.

I bet they only use 10% of the features and interface.

  • @anakin808 Buy it be4 i do

  • Yo, I need beats, I'm dissing fitty and eminem..Emzdad

  • omfgz :D they use all that equipment just to record some shitty vocals :D

  • haha, not bad man, come check my channel out, and follow the link to my myspace to listen to my latest tracks!

  • if those are behringer monitors then get rid of it

  • Yeah, at first they seem to be 1031's but at a closer look... Running such a studio with Behringer monitors is like running a Bugatti with a VW Golf engine.

  • @sephardimm True, but when it comes to monitors, it's much more important to just know your monitors and when something will sound properly mixed on other monitors as well.

You really can use most brands of monitors for that actually, as long as it has an overall useful frequency range.

  • Great Idea!! Check out my track hope you like.

  • Hope these boys are making money with these things!!! otherwise, I'd hate to own that credit card statement

    ...

  • and to think they are on their way to Gen6

  • how much is all this man and what you need to make a studio at home help me

  • Man I Wish I Could Have One Timbaland Edition NeKo You Guys Got 5.Lol

  • whats the whole point of having all that shit? haha

  • Yeah True man, am just Wondering what the hell their doin with crapy ass speaker setup on a kick ass production base.... i mean end of the day ur not hearing the 100% quality of ur product...thery need to upgrade to some KRK's or somthing

  • lovin all the setups....

  • open labs doin they thang...

  • i really dislike Behringer products, but i love everything else you guys got there.

  • go 2 k boogie and shizzy 34st and chek out da hottest in da hood

  • Nice,Nice....VERY NICE!!!

  • mE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i only need one.

  • All I have is a PC some VST Instruments and I have been signed....

    They do look cool though...

  • That neko device does not have the processing power as a computer would and the expansion is limited as far as ram, hard drive, graphics card....etc

Also having a control surface with protools allows for much more efficient navigation. Studios also run consoles such as ssl or neve with pro tools. None of the big studios use this Nicko device. It is a cool idea but not worth the money.

  • And? no offense but... who cares.

  • I hope ppl arent watchin this an emptying they savings 2 get one, ahhaha.

however they r a great deal. 3 K for one beats paying for a computer, keyboard, mixers, software, an maintenance.

  • yeah lets all buy a neko . man u dont need this expensive shit to make music. no offense i love this stuff.. but i see people on here thinking they need mad money to get started.. what you need is talent and a little spare time.

  • hey i like ya word thats true im producin but my stuff are so small but the thing u need is talent, are you a producer too,

  • the realest comment ever!!!

  • WORDS OF WISDOM! I started out with fruityloops, and nothing else, used stocksounds and shit, but I could make some hot stuff! But off course, when I got some money, I bought an mpc, some keybaords etc. But to all the producers out there! consider that hi-end gear as a good reason to keep producing! Good luck!

  • Agreed brother, people concern themselves with getting gear before they start making music without realizing that it's their inner creativity that drives the music.

Look at the gear as your goal, not your means to making music.

  • i been using stock sounds on fl too but its pissing me off. i got a axiom 61 midi keyboard, but i just dont understand how to not use stock sounds..make your own sounds? how.

  • search youtube for tutorial

  • @Soulfab thats TOTTALY correct!!...

i want a miko and i want a pro tools desk...

and a brauner cond. mic etc...

but u need the creativity...thAT I HAVE but i miss the money hahaha..

    peace man.!!

  • @Soulfab totally agree on the gear.. however that Neko is hot... but little spare time?

rather creating alot spare nights! :)

  • all most every hit being made deez days are from reasons n mpcs

  • get the gen5

  • If you use the Neko/meko sequencer can you still put it into protools for a protools session???? And how would a use all of my keyboards with the neko??? Do i need a mixer?? Do i need a protools interface to use protools???? someone help..

  • you can get pro tools built in your neko, and you can also use mimik to copy the sounds from your old keybroad, into the neko/meko, you dont need a mixer, and the protools interface would be built in the neko.

  • why have so many of them?

  • you got all that equipment who is the one mix it up ? you rentin it out or sign up all the talent to make comercial ?

  • Are you guys taking interns?

  • looks expensive

  • damn !!

  • im jealous

  • fuk i wish i could have that

  • i can't get it why do they need 2 monitors?

  • 2 nekos= 2 monitors

  • Get two monitors and you will find out, the extra space is GREAT

  • because you can view the edit and mix window at the same time.

  • "har har outstanding."

  • you guys seem to know lot about beats. Can u guys giv me opinions on my beats? I have some on video so far, and over 50 on soundclick.

I just cant tell if mine are good or not cuz i made them. thnx alot guys

  • well damn, for it to cost so much money, it's juss ......damn dats all i have to say, masterpiece.

  • I'd kill for that!!

  • I'd rob somebody for one of those Beat machines

but the thing is, its a whole fuckin recordin studio in a fucking keyboard!!!!!!

  • it looks like heaven

  • ha ha ha you right!!!

  • Can't wait the 88 keys model...with built in coffee maker...and of course an ashtray ! Peace !

  • you should wait another month, there is a new model coming up with 112keys and also a popcorn machine and a grinder 4 your pod ;)

    btw nice gear

  • Do you live in the past? Haven't heard about the new Open Labs Car?

  • what open labs car?? wow that is SOOO old. open labs are makin space shuttles now.

  • This is the best open labs youtube video..

4-5 neko"s? best looking openlabs studio

  • why do these dorks always talk too much instead of playing music?

  • because its an interview....

  • The top of the line Neko (76 keys) is $7,500.00.

  • actually playboi, its $24,000

  • no it isnt... Plllllayboi!

  • yes it is playgirl its on the openlabs website its caled the niko luxs and its $24,000. go check yourself

  • THE Timberland Neko is $4,999.00 thats the most expensive on the openlabs site and it has 61-keys.

  • The LX is higher than the Timbaland edition...its the one wit all the faders and rotary knobs

  • $3000-$

    6000

  • yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyhhh

BUT HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ££££££££££ SOMEONE MAIL ME ABOUT THAT

  • think mininum $3500 (that's for 37 keys) $7500 (76 keys). so it's pretty high end.

  • man i want one bad now that i keep watching these videos

  • everybody who haves a neko or miko is damn rich

  • donde esta la musicaaaaa ???????¿?¿

  • important is to play with them... that's important, not just to have them.

  • true....IMHO limitations often increase the creativity. Openlabsinc, show us some music!

  • Damn, basically stand alone studio's. Awesome !!!!!!!!
