idk why, but i love the battle of beruna here much better than the 2005 version. it's simple, but so much more menacing. i think it has something to do with the score and the direction. the disney version sure, had to be kid friendly, but they ended it making it look and feel much weaker than it did in the book.

Mr Tumnus looks like the devil and the kids- supposedly 1940s British children have American accents.... there is not even an explanation as to why the children were evacuated to the house

i think they did a good job in developing the children and other characters, but unlike with this version, i felt little connection to Aslan where here and in the book, I was sobbing when he died. I think once Aslan got in the 2005 film, it moved too quick. But it was pretty good.
