  • 3:31 WTF ?!?

  • How does Aslan hold the sword? lol 8:12

  • love this.. bought it on dvd.

  • .... Woow... this is terrible animation and sound LMFAO

  • sheesh! aslan is HUGE!

  • WTF 5:55

  • @Mavric315 i think that was all the guys unfreezing because he broke her wand lol

  • I like the latest Narnia the best

  • your nuts

  • @benthejust don't get me wrong they all were good in some way, I liked the latest ones the best because they where the most lively,, and Tilda Swinton rocked the part of Queen Jadis

  • fine.

  • Aslan's voice. :D

  • idk why, but i love the battle of beruna here much better than the 2005 version. it's simple, but so much more menacing. i think it has something to do with the score and the direction. the disney version sure, had to be kid friendly, but they ended it making it look and feel much weaker than it did in the book.

  • What happen with the dwarf?

  • I plan on buying this for me, my daughter wants no parts of it...mid-life crisis, I guess.

  • sorry i didn't put number 8 and 9 on

  • When Aslan jumped at 1:17 i thought he was going to start flying xDD

  • I used to watch this when I was kid. This is why I think Lions are awesome. So cool.

    Aslan means Lion in Turkish.

  • ok a whole huge gap of the movie missing

  • I was like, wow! what? when they unfroze tumnus, I know it's just a cartoon but since when are fauns red? he looks like a red hot devil lol

  • Why do the kids have american accents? They used to have English accents when I watched this as a kid.

  • @ 9:24 lol Aslan groupies

    XD

  • @ 7:00 i'm Aslan, BITCH!!!

  • You guys are being too hard on this (except the American accents - I agree that's dumb). But some of the tiny subtle touches in the animation are hilariously good!

  • only perverted fuktards would think that phrase was "sounded so wrong". low class idiot.

  • @angryaznman i have to confess, it DOES sound kind of perverted. even though i wasn't thinking of it that way.

  • Aslan scares me...

  • Aslan must be Chuck Norris. He turned her into dust

  • @kungfufreak5 Chuck Norris WISHES he was Aslan!

  • @kungfufreak5 Aslan was made b4 Chuck Norris was even born

in fact he probably CREATED Chuck Norris out of boredom one day

  • Why the heck would you want to watch this. This looks like its from the 2nd century. Watch the real thing, tis better then this by 54239867346734980643965349857 times. lol

  • I remembering seeing this at Xmas, it was the first I ever knew of Narnia. The witch really scared me when I was little, but still loved it.

  • 7:01

I don't know why, but I just LOLed when the White Witch literally got jumped on, especially how she screamed and some of the little touches in the visuals, such as her dropping her dagger while looking up at her doom and a couple of frames as she getting crushed....

  • i think im gonna have nightmares tonight!!!!! the animation is soo scary XD

  • Love it.

  • Not wishing to offend anyone but this adaptation was painfully bad.

Mr Tumnus looks like the devil and the kids- supposedly 1940s British children have American accents.... there is not even an explanation as to why the children were evacuated to the house

I appreciate the budget may have been low but the BBC versions also had low budgets and still managed to be feasible

  • The way the scream screamed at 7:02, yikes.

  • 03:57- 04:05 LOL wtf?

  • what the hell is up with the witches eyes!?

  • The voice acting isn't bad, but the animation is... well... horrifying... XD

  • finally i found that !!! thanks for posting !!

  • I remember this version, as a child I loved it, but looking back at it now...it's not so good anymore. Why do the children have American accents....

  • "Its... Its Azlan." *passes out again*

  • Hey, how did we get here?

  • its comforting to know that artist with skill as crappy as mine can get work

  • 07:04 he friggin' jumped on her!!! I can't even put in in words how ugly that was! roflroflrofl X'D

  • Why does Edmund have glasses?

  • 8:11 havent u ever been told not to touch the blade of a sword?

  • Doesn't the beaver at the end look like Rocky from Rocky and Bullwinkle?

  • Hahaha, at 6:45 the queen gets a little gangsta... Can't be Aslan is dead fool. Hahaha.... Epic.

  • 6:51-6:54

hahaha, it looks like edmund comes back to life, and then passes out again.

  • they made a cartoon??!?!?! orly

  • the witch was just a cold hearted war leader and trecherous ruler in live-action film, but here she's absolutely INSANE!!!!

  • Edmund is about as much use as a nun's tits

  • for those like me who were interested in the composer - his name is Michael J Lewis

  • @jwj201 thanks. yeah this music is pretty engaging.

  • @ 5.43

    the bull dissapears :P

  • much more intense than the movie!

  • the music all the way to 7:35 is just AMAZING!

  • how cool is this then?! Aslan jumps on the witch on it and she bursts...xDDD

  • make stewing beef out of her!

  • @bodczar ,i love the sound of a lion's roar...reminds me of my victory in Jesus!!!!

  • geez i miss these days when movies had more thought and feeling put behind them even when they were a copy of a story nowadays its how flashy u can make a movie that counts storys gone right out the window and without such fancy effects writers and producers had to focus more on a story that would keep audiences watching instead of wondering what kind of effects were gonna be in it

  • wheres the part where aslan makes the deal gets made fun of and dies

  • @link: Episodes are out of order, I think in the # 9's. Just collect 'em and then make a new folder. I had this problem.

     Ill Cat

  • they screwed up pt 8 and nine u need to watch pt 9 than 8 although i don't know why they scewed this up

  • further back

  • considering this was made in 1979, and considering it had not the economic might of the mouse, this is one heartfelt, emotional action filled awesome adventure.

  • what every one needs to realize is that this was the first original movie of the lion witch and the wardrobe, long before the tv series and the late 2007 cgi movie. I think this dated back to 1978 so its bound to be a bit different to what people nowadays are used to

  • the kids don't have any armor on!

  • heeeeeeeeeey! where'd the other parts GO!?!???!?! when she killed him!!!!!!

  • try part 9 from this same person... it's kind of out of order. The person labeled two parts the same--obviously the longer nearly ten minute one is the missing part. Anyways, you probably figured it out--but thought I'd write just in case.

  • its also missing where he made the deal

  • The fight scene looks kinda cheesy in a way.

But this movie was ok. A little off, but still worth it.

  • I like this cartoon very much. The music here fits the Narnian spirituality nicely.

  • Aslan sound more like a Military General than a Wise noble in this animated version.....

  • well he isnt a wise noble in the first place..

  • Comment removed

  • Thats so bad its good, but i think that theres a bit missing cos she hasnt killed him yet!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, you are right! When I first saw it, I got scared!

  • still, they could have made the characters look more NORMAL!! look at fricken Mr. Tumnus! And seriously, when I first saw the White Witch, I thought she was a Cruella de Vil reject.

  • Comment removed

  • And now, to buisness.

Children, you must ride on me.

OMG, is it just me or that just sounded so wrong.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that was frickin hilarious.. you're right, that sounded awful... in fact this whole movie looks/sounds awful...

  • @swordsmanwil

"Edmund, hold back! I'm commin!" sounded so much, much worse to me. XD

  • I lik most of this film but I really dislike the voice of Aslan in this animated version. Its just not how I would imagine Aslans voice,im sorry. plus the Aslan in this movie is way too large. he is lik, 9 or 10 ft. tall, come on u hav to agree about that size.

  • A major part is missing

  • This is one of the best versions of this classic movie.. :')

  • umm quick yet stupid question how did aslan kill the witch did he like stepped on her or something?

  • I wouldn't say "stepped on" as much as "mercilessly crushed under all four paws of about 8ft tall, 10ft long, and about 1 ton of pure lion."

  • ah wow cause i was confused when i saw that part i'm like...where the hell did she go?! lolz

  • heheheheheh

  • I love when he brings everything back to life. It makes you really happy.

  • Need to fix the order! I love this film!

  • I fell in love with Aslan when I was a kid lol, awesome movie, gonna have to pull it out of the cobwebs and watch it again.

  • me-at the white witch...and susan..

  • Haha, the dryads look like zombies.

  • I love this film! Thanks for posting this!

  • this version has the best voice of aslan

  • i love how she's so in shock, but just drops the knife. Pricless animation!

  • in the 2005 film the witch was just dangerous and an evil ruler, while in this cartoon, she's those things and pretty much INSANE!!!

  • She actually must look like that - insane and crazy, and evil and nasty. According to the first book she was obsessed with power and royal blood. Even the servants were the ones of the nobility in her world.

  • what a killer look has aslan when he crushes the witch at 7.04, clasic..

  • ...well it didn't suck actually it was pretty well done but I missed this version !

  • I haven't seen this since I was like 9 years old..the new movie sucked!

  • i think they did a good job in developing the children and other characters, but unlike with this version, i felt little connection to Aslan where here and in the book, I was sobbing when he died. I think once Aslan got in the 2005 film, it moved too quick. But it was pretty good.

  • I agree with You. The new movie wasn't bad, but it has some drawbacks if compared to the original plot of the Chronicles of Narnia.

  • aslam's proprtionally huge and everyone's head is about twice the size it shouldbe...but it is cute!

  • Okay so I know that Part 9 follows Part 7 and not part 8 but there's a part where the Witch speeks to Aslan, whispering as Aslan's people watch from a distance. And it's the two negotiating for Aslan to give himself up for Edmund. Where is that part?

  • I was wondering about that part myself...

  • OML CHILDHOOD MEMORY.

this film scared the shit out of me.

my dad taped over it with tennis.

    and i was fumingggg

im actually quite glad now i've seen it again.

the witch+ mr tumnus are fucking terrifying.

  • sweet shit, the witch exploded, that way better than the live film version, plus the acting in this version is also better

  • Damnit, I want the ending to this. I love the music at the very last part of the movie. Put it up, dang it XD Please?

And how come your Videos aren't showing on your profile? Nothing makes sense. I feel like I'm in friggin Alice in Wondering or something. -.-

  • i remember watching this cartoon when i was a kid and falling in love with the music and aslan.

  • the music and Aslan in this version ROCKS!!!!!!

  • This is a bit out of order. part number 9 should be 8 and 8 should be 9.

The scene where Aslan is killed by the white witch comes before his resurrection and his freeing of those who are at her castle

  • Aslans dead you fool. haha witch is a G

  • Holly crap at 5:50 the witch looked really pissed

  • She looks more like she was crazy.

  • 00:15 the girls animated reaction is hilarious.

I still really love this version. Just watching this inspired me to order it from Amazon.

I remember watching this in 1979 on tv and was totally engulfed it.

    The music is wonderful!

  • And now, to buisness.

Children, you must ride on me.

OMG, is it just me or that just sounded so wrong.

  • what the crap?

  • What the HELL? holy crap.

  • omg i remember long time ago this cartoon but was on another language

  • Because I'm sure Peter and Edmund would be fighting in turtleneck sweaters lol

  • WTF?

  • you're missing the parts between Peter slaying Fenris and this.....

  • yea, where the witch turns herself and the dwarf into a tree stump and a large stone during edmunds rescue

  • You're missing the best bit! "ALL NARNIA WILL BE OVERTURNED AND PERISH IN FIRE AND WATER!!"

  • Whats is with that moose ?

  • i have this movie!!! XD

  • when did this come out, wasn't this cartoon in the late 70's?

  • 1979

  • Yay for dorky cartoons based on good books! I own the Wizard of Oz cartoon and I've seen the LOTR/Hobbit ones, but this is a first for me.

  • heartfelt reasons for sharing ideas, but not getting results, can mean that what was stored within wasn't shared with right person, and misunderstandings as to reason why info returned, may have caused intelligent wisdom to be buried behind forever. many necessary failures appear by hopeless and grim results, but from pain, those focussed, even when things overwhelm, will thrive. defence will prove to be resourceful.(not seen or felt as cowardness or as useless positions in spotlight)

  • if server appears to know his or her stuff like in piano store,(similar relation to video store)that person had a good day, or resources were available or he or she wants to give like santa. Coldness may freeze patron and even send him thru doorway empty handed if message is obscure. in video store i chose eventually what i found interesting and rented, even with the misunderstanding that came from browsing the entire store.

  • i remember this for the christmas, brings back all the memories, cocoa and toast, and a snickers chocolate lol

  • The movie's better. This one is too cartoony.

  • I really like the cartoon, more than the movie. And te music is sweet one here.

  • Ya it may be the gayest thing you heard but at least he'll go to heaven while you burn in hell. You may wanna think twice of who you're talking about here.

  • this scene is ultimate dopeness.

  • Thanks so much for puting this on. It's been years since I have seen this.

  • Yes he was. Aslan is a Christ-like character.

  • This is just an amazing story. And it's true. When a person who has commited no crime dies in the traitors stand, even time would turn itself back, and the stone table will crack. I'm not saying that in real life.. but does it sound familiar? WE can do all the crap we want today, because Jesus died for us. this is why it's so symbolic. I LUV U JESUS!

  • Amen beyondsurface83. The author who made these books was a christian wasn't he?

  • C.S. Lewis was a born again christian, yes.

  • :) Say littlesongbird1 do you know what the C.S. stand for?

  • Clive Staples if I remember correctly. I will have to check.

  • Clive Staples? :) Sounds like quite an unsusal name.

  • He hated it, by the way.

He demanded that everyone call him Jack from a very young age.

  • He always hated his own name?

  • I don't blame him if I had a unusual name I'd probably want to be called something else like Susie or something Shamdeo.

  • the animation director is Bill Melendez

  • thank you. I love this version of the story!

  • P.S. 1st & 2nd Comment in here... =) I saw this only once years ago!

  • It's great to see the animated version of The Lion, The Witch & The wardrobe again! I wanted to see it again! thank you very much for uploading it nwl23. Did Disney make this? From the look of the animation (Don't get me wrong animation today is great and all but 2d hand drawn animation is allot more quality animation...) it looks as though I would guess it was made in the late / mid 1970's...

  • To reply to this.....this was NOT Disney. This was done by the same people who did the Charlie Brown shows (not Chuck Schultz....somebody else who worked with Schultz).

  • Thanks for letting me know :) I always thought Disney did this for some reason. This is a wonderful story/movie :) I wish my closet had a secret magic world I still wish it does lol! don't you?

  • Not really. Knowing my closet....and if it had a portal to another world...I'd probably end up somewhere bad....like in the middle of New Jersey.

But...I wonder if this version is on DVD. If it's only VSH...I can still get it and get it converted to DVD.

  • It would probably on ebay or there are websites that have hard to find vhs/dvd movie titles...

  • this version is for sale in woolworths

    brought it for £6

  • Hey, yes it is on DVD, my VHS copy was ruined b/c watched it too many times, so went on Amazon and bought the DVD version of it there.

  • Not all animated film are made by Disney! I'm big into rare non Disney anumation from this period!

  • Bill Melenedez

  • It was directed by Bill Melendez (Schultz's assistant) and animated by the Children's Television Network (people who did Sesame Street)

  • And Jesus wants us to have a relationship with him. He knows us all personally. He knows all of the stars, and the number of hairs on your head. Even though we sin everyday, he died for us all, and took our place. Just incredible.

  • beyondsurface83....that was the gayest thing ive heard all day

  • actually they mean some kind allusion to the Christian symbolism in this story.

  • Good estimate, it was done in 1979.

  • So it was made in the late 1970's & it's out on dvd? That's cool awakened2U.

  • thanks 4 the info awakened2U. :)

  • note: i may have not shown gratitude for all the clips you sent me, but my heart is being strengthened regardless.
