  • fuck Oona this dech has no acceleration whatsoever to get a high cost creature on the board fast enough.Stillmoon Cavalier is basically a one-man army that can take out opponents in one or two swings if you buff him thanks to his 2coloured protection.this card should be main deck

  • what editions are most of these cards from?

  • are one of you guys Momo on the WotC forums?

  • LOL.... now a days, this deck would get absolutely trashed by Anathemancer. Other than that, this looks like a really fun deck.

  • I was watching your video and i was wondering how you would declare the play of the merderous redcap and nameless inversion play?

  • when redcap comes into play put the trigger on the stack, use priority to nameless inversion the redcap, when the trigger resolves it will do 5 damage

  • i don't give a shit if it wins it just looks fun as hell

  • why would you want to kill oona for? 2:29

  • why wouldnt you want to kill oona?

  • i dont get it ....

  • its not your oona it means you can deal 5 damage

  • it could use Bone splinters very well.

  • if you go to our website, there is an article that has a updated version of this deck.

  • The ruling on Redcap/Nameless it is in the rules under ruling number: 402.6.

  • The murderous redcap with nameless inversion for 5 damage is cool , ive tried to argue this at the local fnm , and i explain it as the rules checking the opwer of redcap before the state based effect of 0 toughness kills him , but people werent buying it , is there a way i could explain this working on the stack more accuratly.

  • I would just look up the part of the rules that discuss last known information because that is what the ruling is about

  • I think you just get priority before the effect goes on the stack, thus playing the nameless inversion before the comes into play effect reads the power of the redcap.

  • is Oona really that popular in block?

  • Oona, Queen of the Fae is a very popular kill condition in Block. If Oona resolves it makes it something that your oppt has to deal with or they will most likely loose.

  • yea and u can infinte mill them

  • oona is the best win card in block and possibly type 2 also

  • yea shes so good in t2 and block

  • umm...you can kill an Oona, Queen of the Fae without targeting your Murderous Redcap with Nameless Inversion...I personally would rather have a 2/2 Murderous Redcap and a dead Oona on my opponents side. But hey, whatever works for you....

Also, I don't want to sound like a jackass but the plural form of Colossus is Colossi.

But overall the deck is very interesting and it is cool to see you did so well with it.

  • I don't want to sound like a jackass but either Colossuses or Colossi is technically correct.

  • the first part to that is what i was thinkn, why wud u need to shoot itself with nameless inversion to kill oona? just nameless inversion it and play redcap or vice versa

  • Flourishing Defenses FTW!!!!

  • magus of the moon could hurt this deck pretty badly but other than that i like it and i am working on a similar deck.

  • You cant worry about magus of the moon. I dont understand why people use that as an argument. Magus isnt in Block and this deck isnt made for Standard. The only threat is Ful Mage and he isnt that big of an issue.

  • i'll personally apologize to you(and only you) since i didn't realize this was block.

  • Touche sir. I bow in complete respect to your mastery of magic. Seriously I do!

  • Could u please post a full deck list in the comments? Thank you.

  • press the "More Info" button in the menu bar to the right

  • do you have a deck list ?

    Thanks sounds fun

  • always in the menu bar

  • as I told Michael Jacob, and proved, this deck LOVES RDW, it just eats them up

  • because quillspike dont get destroyed, when Devoted Druid is in play, you must first destroy Devoted Druid.

  • I don't understand how a deck like this beats RDW consistently. They Puncture Blast/Flame Javelin Colossi and kill your scarbaldes/Quillspikes when they CIP and you are done.

  • RDW has to exhaust their resources quickly since most of your creatures are threats. Puncture blast isn't so hot against Chameleon Colossus because of Quillspike (his ability does not target). Try to get Elite stuck. Profane Command will do double duty to get back your dudes and shrink theirs. Primal Command on turn 3 thanks to Devoted Druid helps a lot too. We toyed around with bringing in Cloudthresher and it was fairly efficient as it helps you to race and they have no good answer to it.

  • i like, that you have cameleon colossus in yor deck, because you show me, that i must do him in my deck, because i have Devoted Druid in my deck and this is a good combo.

  • I am looking forward to playing against team " deck builders" this Saturday at a ptq in Boise hopefully they will be their.

  • i like to see a list of this deck be cause it loocks like a lot of fun to play with.

  • sorry sir, but 1 magus of the moon kills your mana base, unless you have a removal spell ready for it.

  • Are you kidding me? Please people, make your comments constructive and intelligent. Magus of the moon is not a legal card in Block.

  • You'll notice that I play Murderous Redcaps + Firespout to get rid of it XD

    epic fail.

  • wow man ... magus in block would be pretty crazy

  • part 2

"the ratio of the number of cards the Kith loses to the single Quilspike combo gets greater as early game turns to midgame making it harder to control the board with Kith"

    2 oblivion ring

    4 stillmoon cavs

+ they can chump then crack back with a mirror weave ftw

and dont forget sp would buy three turns

i do think that this deck would play bad against kithkin i just dont think u can count them out

  • you can always throw the infi infi guy to the face with rite, but thats if you draw the one of. in testing we ran more, but eventually cut it for different cards. you also have large beaters like CC that kith will have to deal with and board clearer's like Firespout. If the kithkin deck is main decking Forge Tender they are deluting their deck overall anyways.

  • part 1

running more copies of rite is ok if u were basing on the combo but i thing ur choice of keeping rock was right since rock always performs well.

i dont understand ur point about them not maining the forgetenders? if they do then great but if they don't then they will just side them in?

also i want to say since i have never played ur deck i have no clue how it will really operate against a kithkin deck. all i know is that saying the quilspike forces them on the defense is probably

  • part 2

not likely. maybe a stalemate? also what instant removal do u have outher than the nameless's? the yard isnt filled yet for scarblade

  • wow good explanations

  • also y cant kithkin block with their stillmoon cavaliers all day long?

  • what do you mean?

  • he said that the quilspike combo vs kithkin puts them on the defensive, chumping every turn.

sorry for not being more clear.

  • eventually they will run out of Kith

this strategy puts the board in your favor

    you control the board,

    you win the game

the ratio of the number of cards the Kith loses to the single Quilspike combo gets greater as early game turns to midgame making it harder to control the board with Kith

  • part 1

"eventually they will run out of Kith"

thats only if they are chumping but if u have a pro black creature like stillmoon u can just block

"this strategy puts the board in your favor"

i disagree the current kithkin decks are really mirror master decks that run multiple pumps and mirror weave as there mid to late game.

    "you control the board,

you win the game" did u think of this one by ur self?

  • I didn't go over an in-depth matchup analysis. I played against kithkin 5 times that weekend and won 4 times (lost to the top 8 guy). Scarblade Elite, Nameless Inversion, Murderous Redcap, Firespout, Stillmoon Cavalier and Colossus against unmake versions. This is without the Quillspike/Oona goodness. If you're going to be sarcastic, think out your comments first. You (obv) kill they guy they mirrorweave.

  • Quilspike and Devoted druid can make quilspike infinitely as big as you want

  • really wow but pro black blocks inf/inf

  • i like the deck it has the same idea as quick n toast a meta game beater and i think it was cool to add quilspike combo but i would have another oona so u cangte it if they kill it

  • Nice!

  • cool deck and different

  • To kill Oona, why don't you just Nameless Inversion their Oona and then Redcap it? Seems dumb killing your own Redcap leaving yourself with a 1/1 that won't come back again instead of a 2/2 with more persist.

  • you can remove his persist counter with Quill-spike Tomb.

  • his explanation seems logical.

  • I guess I was thinking of what I did in the tournament. I did it against my round 3 opponent in the Trial since I had a quillspike out and shot my opponent for 2 when the redcap came back (remove the counter with the trigger on the stack)
