  • is it better to practice with dry or wet hair?

  • @GreerNicole703 always wet so that you can see what it's supposed to look like, and also get a feeling of how much hair you want to incorporate with each stitch

  • ur a fuckin genius

  • @omizzac I'm gonna take that as a extremely high compliment lol... thnx

  • A little tip,, maybe if you braid the hair in the front once and then start the cornrow it will look good at the front too even if you have fat fingers.

  • @Sisternuka completely agree with you, I just always had problems creating that one or two stitches then cornrowing. my two stitches would always look smaller than the rest, lol... but definitely agree with you.

  • Damn you did a fine job explaining the process. I can't wait to try it.

  • @MissSweetChar plz leave a comment if it worked out for you or if it you have questions

  • Wow out of all the females i watched a dude was the one who taught me.

  • @NickiefreeStyl3z that's crazy huh. lol...

  • Wow, this is exactly what I needed to know--the finger placement! That's been the main thing that has been stumping me. Thank you so much for providing this awesome instructional video!

  • @firmingitup I have no idea why your comment was flagged as spam... my apologies for that

  • yo im tryin to cornrow my hair i watched the video but i dont get how u actually get it to braid i got the parting part but i didnt get the braiding part can u try to explain it to me thanks

  • @ARozinthisbitch well if you follow the steps in the video, it will start the braiding it's own... the main thing I can say is listen carefully to the finger placement and keep trying. I no longer have hair to make another vid. sorry.

  • I'm lovin' it. Thank you for the patience and clarity. I just paid for a 5 day class to do what you just showed me how to do in 6 1/2 minutes. Kudos to you sanman. I'm very impressed.

  • @Diemi52457 wow they actually have classes for this? hope you didn't pay to much... and thank you for the positive feed back

  • No problem, glad it helped u out. As always, if u kno someone that wants to learn how plz refer my vid.

  • Did a guy just teach me how to canerow??? EXCELLENT JOB! Took me a minute, I actually had to write it down because your left was my right and I was getting confused by watching you. Now I have 10 lopsided braids but its all good. Practice makes perfect. THANK YOU!

  • @DivineEmpress86 Lol apparently so, but that's the reaction when I tell ppl I know how to cornrow. glad the vid helped you out.

  • Awesome! The best cornrow tutorial I've seen on youtube...and it took a guy to make it, LOL! Thank you! I understand what to do now. I will add this to my favorites for future reference

  • @mstaten11 yes indeed I am a guy, lol... and thank you for the feed back

  • @sanman1185 Omg Thank You SO MUCH I Understand The Concept Of It Now. And Now I Can Cornrow !!!!!!!!!1 Thankx

  • Honestly, i just use my index finger nail to grab the hair and pinch it with my thumb, but the more u grab the less "tight" it looks, just try and "feel" for what u think is right n like.

  • hey man good tutorial. after watching so many vids yours has the best view and is done more slowly so i can actually watch what's happening. one question is when is the right point to grab the hair behind and how much should you take? because i know how to french braid it's just how to move backwards along the head is puzzling me a little. appreciate it if you could get back to me.

  • * nah I was

  • *nah

  • Not breathing heavy, just small bathroom and great microphone for sound. Bag I was, I weigh 250lbs bitch what do you expect.

  • Ty

  • Ty

  • i think that was a great explanation. nice step by step

  • No but u can be my prison bitch

  • It'll take some practice but i have been trying to do this for a while but couldn't get the braids tight enough. I realize from your video what i've not been doing. I didn't pin it down. When you do that it tightens the braid while you're braiding. Thank you for the missing link.

  • @leon8chicken i do apologize that the video didnt help. I dont have hair anymore so wouldnt be able to do that. I hope u can find a video that will further assist you

  • The slow and methodical way of showing hand placement and each cornrow step was wonderful. Great video, thanks so much

  • Thanks Very helpful

  • Honestly its just goin to take practice, practice practice. I never used my index n middle fingers braiding, until I forced myself to learn this way.

  • @sanman1185 me too lol

  • O my god thank you so much..you don't know how many searches I put in on step by step cornrows and all I got were the same old videos with people just braidind their hair straight through..This really helped thank you so much...MUAHH..

  • i'm very impressed...you're a guy and you know how to cornrow! your video really helped a lot...now hopefully i can do some cornrows in my hair lol

  • You want it to be moist. With grease, water, lotion, or whatever. I've tried them all and liked water the best. With the hair most u hair is grouped together and you have little to no straglers flying around. Glad u like the video. Good Luck!

  • Lol I'm a slow learner so it may take awhile to get threw it all but I'm defanitly into trying this to my hair, this helped a lot. Thanks a ton. (: Also does it work better when you're hair is wet or dry? or does it matter.

  • This is a really good video. Watching the others just confused me lol Thanks :)

  • thank you for the great and positive comment. i definitely agree that pros sometimes overlook the small things but hey were all human. as for doing hair that isn't something I've wanted or thought of doing. it's just a. another thing I can add to things I know how to do. lol

  • you did very well sanman! as I was watching that Evillage vid I was thinking, I wish she could show and explain a little more detailed on the technique ( starting the braid and such) I see you were thinking the samething and I think u made a very good effort in trying to braking it down beginner or not. Sometimes the pros may forget the need to explain the little details.... are you interested in doing hair? just wondering!

  • thank you all very much. as I've said I was confused aswell watching others. also reason i wanted to learn is so i didnt have to pay someone everytime i wanted it done. btw anyone wants to learn how to do anything else leave a comment and I'll see what i can do. please rTe and subscribe and recommend this vid if it truly helped. thanks again
