Amsah (P4 sheik) vs Over (P2 sheik) 1 GF - TSL4 7-9/8/09

Kind of mind blowing to see a grand finals between two Sheik mains... We had M2K vs. KirbyKaze, but M2K is a Marth main in reality. These two are Sheik mains who don't even have a secondary character they pull out during tournaments if I'm not mistaken. It's even weirder that Sheik is a tad weaker in Europe than the US. It'd be nice if this got more exposure in the US to show us what we are missing.

So I haven' watched alot of PAL play, and I was wondering, why do I see so much sheik despite the fact that her dthrow is ridiculously nerfed? It's not the chainthrow i miss, it's the dthrow to any move. Ftilt, fair, etc.

Dthrow leads to dash attack which in turn leads to stuff like ftilt etc. And besides, sheik has undeniably the best statistics in the whole game when it comes to frame data. Sheik lags very little, dodges very nicely, has all the moves sheik ever needs, range and priority... only bad point being up b which can't always even be abused and thus free recovery. So yea, I'd consider that dthrow-less sheik quite awesome char still, if not the best in pal according to pal-tier list and tourney records.

makes sense, considering I don't know how other characters were changed, only that marth's dair is a meteor, falco's dair doesn't spike during the whole animation, and samus's homing grapple is removed XD.

Fox's upsmash and dsmash are weaker, firefox shorter, sheik's uair is weaker, ganon's fair is weaker and dair deals 1% less damage, some weights have been changed a bit and glitches removed. There should be a fairly comprehensive guide on smashboards melee discussion somewhere.
