Make the drops heavier. I'm not really a drop-whore, I don't really care for producers who simply lower the gain for the first 50 seconds, then just floor everything for the next half a second, but some nice, heavy drops would really benefit this song.
BTW, I like the way you did the melody, it all flows together really nicely.
Boring, Work on your programming more then learn about automation to make it less predictable and flat. Onto the drums, make them more interesting as well as adding builds and breaks etc... However, I think you have some good ideas and if you work a lot more on this, you might have something.
@brianred8 This is the best criticism I have gotten on this video, someone who actually thinks instead of saying "THIS FUCKING SUCKS!!" I appreciate it.
meh, I like how you didn't stray too far from the song, but you failed to capture the raw energy of the guitars and vocals, if you added vocals and added in the normal drums and overlapped them with yours it would be very good. But as is, meh
The origins of this song is so lost that it's rated as a "Traditional" piece, and can be freely recorded. However, specific arrangements retain their own copyrights. But anyone can do their own version, just like any other "folk" song.
@ShamanSound The oldest known existing recording is by Texas Alexander, recorded in 1927 for Okeh Records. Appalachian artists Clarence "Tom" Ashley (with Gwen Foster) recorded it for Vocalion Records in 1934. Ashley said he had learned it from his grandfather, Enoch Ashley. You were saying? Know your stuff. Gosh.
@yetimen Nobody knows who wrote the original 'house of the rising sun' and there have been many 'original' versions before led zeppelin did a cover. How about you know your music before you criticize other peoples?
@ColourMeUp1 I forget about the version by the animals, and since I have only really heard the version by Led Zeppelin, I presumed that it was the original, so thank you for correcting me,
Many in the comments seem to dislike this. But I think that it was done rather well. Especially considering how different the original's genre is to Dubstep.
The mellow beat that goes on, mixed with the melody of the original gives a very chilling and yet soothing feel.
A nice contrast to the general fast pace of much Dubstep music.
Could you please upload a soundtrack of this song without dubstep part aswell? I mean I love dubstep, but for this it kinda ruins it, dunno. Feels like that melody could solo way better off without dub, maybe some trance instead. :D
@fredzo123 Im sorry but this being my favorite song of all time this is as terrible remix as throwing up in tin foil and eating it. Normally I like remixes and encourage them but this is stolen from a child molesters ipod.
Okay, what we need is for everyone to make 50 different accounts, then like the song with everyone of them. That will return the like bar to it's former beauty!
Not that bad... but it needs the vocals... that makes it just a super powerful song. It is also dubstep, you can slow it down a touch. Plus you could always do a vocal with no backgroud and put a huge drop. Sometime about 2:07 would be a good time to come out, put in the lyric House of the rising Sun... then come back in with an insane drop. Even look for 3:13 - 3:17 area. with the rise up... say if you put the rise up... and with that one soul wrenching House of the rising sun... then dropped.
@macgyver2210 how bout you take some vocals from a song thats supposed to be in 3/4 time and manipulate them into a dance tempo rhythm in 4/4 time then?
@fredzo123 because shit like this hard enough without introducing time signature differences. He's using FL Studio, which doesn't exactly make it easy to re-map time signatures. I give him props for what he's done, only haters are going to say he's not doing enough.
@Morphdog9819 If you want the song to be considered a remix of ______ you have to include some clips of the song _____....otherwise it's not a remix. It's a bad instrumental version. The vocals make this song classic. This remix fails it.

@satyr1956 its interesting when people not only dislike a genre of music, but also write it off as non-musical. dubstep focuses primarily on the literal synthesis of sound, sounds that can't be produced by classical instruments. i accept that you don't have to like every genre of music, but if you knew the process it took to produce it perhaps you'd change your outlook slightly.
