@PrinzP9 1gb is not enough. go with at least 2. i mean you can survive on a netbook with 1 but it's not ideal, especially given the price of RAM

my mouse is messed up and my win7 home edition 64bit x86 seems unstable.. i tried doing a system restore with my samsung and it says INVALID RECOVERY AREA.

do you think reformating and reinstalling windows 7 will solve this issue? is there a way to reinstall windows 7 without the CD? and solve my mouse problem?

@jsvlad Why don't you just use sardu, download it, and when you got it running select kaspersky and make a cd and then boot with that in your dvd drive.

All specs as come with box, 1gb ram. Yes still running dual boot with xp and win7, running like a beauty, few games lag a bit in win7, but all good, thinking of upgrading ram to 2

After looking at tooo many sites, I just finally decided to run the setup straight away from the iSO file, about 2.35gb.

GUESS WHAT?? I had got Windows 7 installed in 30min on my NC10. no need for MSDOS and all that stuff..trust mee...

He cut's same parts of this video. The real time is 30 min, ;) The MS can sell the Windows 7 on pen drives, for fight with Linux on pen drives! But the manual process is very dificulty to do. I tried one time...

You did setup from ISO, and it rebooted and managed to read from it.... Or did you extract the iso to the pen drive?

If you copy the files from the iso or run it via iso but don't format the windows will make a new folder called windows.old all you do once your windows 7 is done go to C drive and delete the folder that called windows.old and your done :)

Windows 7, of course, will run slightly slower, but its worth it as the amoutn of goodies you get are amazing :)

Did you download this onto the PC? then just install it, because thats what it looks like, because XP is in the background?

Does it overwrite xp and all its fines once its done?

- it was installed using a USB optical drive. and yes, that is XP in the background (at the start of the video)

- I told it to reformat the disk so XP was wiped first.

how did u install it? USB? did you install it over xp or did you make dual-boot? did you make a new partition to harddrive and installed it there?
