  • A buddy and I were just talking about skiing, anxious for the deep snow to get here and Schmidt came up in the conversation. We wondered what he does now to keep himself busy. It's nice to see he still seems like the guy next door that you'd go have beers with. Unlike the ego maniacs produced by overhyping marketing types at sponsor companies these days, Schmidt seems very "real" and realistic about the risks and adventures he's encountered. He deserves a lot more credit than he gets today.
