hey i meant to write sooner but just letting u know we completed the whole 800km in 27days every step of the way..made it to santiago on the 24th of july..it was amazing!!best trip ever...i have that completed and were all only 18years old!woohuu!!good luck with it if ur doing it again
hey im starting the comino from st.j pied de port on monday week..but i need to know is it possible to complete in 28days because thats our flight after it?
@eimearmcm The distance is about 500 miles so if you have only 28 days, that means almost 18 miles a day on average. It can be done, but that doesn't give any leeway for foot problems, terrible weather, day off or two for rest, sickness, etc., plus you won't ruly enjoy the Camino experience and it won't mean as much to you. Consider walking only 400 miles or even less, and coming back another time. I did that. I walked the Camino in three separate trips and that is quite common.
@mason347 yeah we have it all worked out how much were gonna walk everyday..and were all very young and fit(i hope) haha so im sure we will be fine...ya we were thinking it might just feel like a race to get there because were so limitied with time...il take your advice on board tho!:-) thanks a million!!
@eimearmcm you can do it in 28 days but it's tough! I did it in 29 days walking day and day out with the exception of 2 days where I to stay put cause of tendinitis. The prob was that I had no time to visit any major site and I was going all the time.
I'm doing it again this year and am looking at a 6 weeks window.
So ... The road from San Sebestyan to Santiago de Compostela is about 800 km ...
Everything looks great, but I may have someone able to answer a few questions.
Are there places for overnight stays or have to carry a tent? September and October a good time for this campaign? And finally, as is the case with theft in public places overnight? I did not want to offend, but with my friends these cases (stolen camera and a computer) in other places, not in Spain ...
The route I took is from the north side of the Pyrenees Mountains in France (village of St. Jean Pied de Port) and on 800 km to Santiago. The route through San Sebastian is much different and not the same. So I can't answer about the northern route you mentioned. That route is called El Camino del Norte and you can Google it and get your answers.
About theft. Generally, it is very safe, but everyone must use good judgment and protect things like cameras, etc.

Hi, truly an excellent video, congrats. Only, I would suggest a change in music, Lecuona' "Malaguena" is so unrelated to the Camino experience, geographically and in more ways. But then each one has his/her on camino, right? Well, just a suggestion... Buen camino peregrino, xm
The pictures are great, but the music doesn't fit. I'm spanish, and that music is more like southern music (the Camino is at the North of Spain). I suggest you some music of Carlos Nuñez, for example.
Well...yo soy espanol tambien and I think the music is quite a-propos... so there. There is always someone who has to make a negative comment. This video music and all is excellent.
