I think that the person with the highest probability of becoming the new rider is Arya. The sole reason for that is because, somewhere in the books, I can't remember in which one, it was described that, a person's magic is the color of their dragon, or something along those lines. And since Arya's magic is green, as shown in Eldest, and the new dragon is also comfirmed to be green, I think she's the most probable.

He can't be the new rider because, in brisingr, it explains that when the Dragons bonded with the other races, the only 2 they bonded with, to allow them to become riders, were the Elves and the Humans. The Dwarves didn't want to be included. I think the highest possibility is Arya becoming the new rider.

Well it is mid-December and the book still isn't finished. He has to finish, then get it edited by the company, then he has to tweak it some more, then he has to get it edited again, then it has to be published, then millions of copies sent every where. So I guess it will be released some where between late spring or mid summer of 2011. IT SHOULD BE AN AMAZING BOOK!!!!!! He has been writing it for almost 3 years so it should be amazing or else thousands of people will be really mad!

@fourenchalatas He's one of my guesses, but you can't be sure. From a lot of things I've been observing from the first three books, my sixth sense is pointing to Arya Drottningu.

He recently sent out an email that suggested that C.P was still writing the last book. He's pretty much the slowest writer I have ever seen. Although to be fair, the books are extremely long and he's a pretty new writer.
Good call Pat. I am sure they will be trying to make the December/xmas deadline, but I also don't think they will be rushing it. Better to have everything ship shape than leave some loose ends untied.
