  • Oh and drive ability isn't really an issue for these motors. They rev smooth and idle fine with a good tune.

  • Well actually I have a 300+ rwhp gt that gets 22/28mpgs also. Which I can add a few parts to increase gas mileage(alum driveshaft, 6 speed), it also runs a race tune full time. I only spent about $1500 to get that power. Other than that you're right lmfao. Oh and it sounds better than a v6 imo plus its perfect for a turbo set up to 475rwhp. So why would you buy a v6 to mod it exactly?

  • @1979FordsRock yeah and spend 3 times what ya did on parts...and have a 400hp v8 that you cant use as a daily drier because one, it gets ya in too much trouble and two, gas is 3.40 a gallon

  • Very nice, only thing I would do is get a GT bumper (you have a Termi hood, but a v6 bumper!) and replace the y-pipe for an h-pipe... that might give you about 5 hp.

  • blownpony- i didnt notice a difference from the TB itself because i installed it when i had the h/c/i installed. I think it does make a difference in power if you have full bolt ons and h/c/i like i did, but i could be wrong. I put the TB on because i got it from the guy i bought the heads and intakes from since the intakes were ported to match that 65mm TB

  • just a question for the tb, did you notice a difference when you installed it because it dosent make sense, unless the stock tb for a v6 mustang is restricted a lot, i would say that it would make a difference if you had forced induction but other than that idkw it would but did you notice anything?

  • Yeah, the torque is way too low. A V8 is 300ft.lbs plus.

    But that's a nice rumble, I kinda like it. For a V6 at least. V6 Camaros never get this rumble.

  • When doing cam did you get new rockers or you ket the stock ones?

  • but this number are at the wheels a stock v6 makes 160RWhp so he make 67hp more so at the crank will be like 270hp so he can easily beat a stock gt.

  • the only way to make a v6 stand out is putting a supercharger or turbocharger and then all this.

  • i dunno why but 227 seems pretty low for all that work.

    Ive seen bolt on v6's break 200 before even tearing into the motor. (I/H/C)

  • 227 is wheel at the crank is way more so its not that bad, easily keeping up with stock gt's

  • Thats not alot of money what did he do exhuast and intake for what a few 100's..

    Also its better to see the v6's racing now adays than v8's they are too common compared to v6's its nice for a change. and they are getting faster as time goes by 8- to high 7's i do beleave is the record most people get them in the high 9's with the 4.2L-4.3L turbo or twinturbo's
