  • U play well. I love ur Fruciante voice :)

  • @choplass lol Glad you like it, I have a pretty high falsetto, or am able to sing pretty high in falsetto, not quite "opera 2" high, but high enough.

  • im getting one tomorrow for 120~ :) with amp and gigbag

    its around one year old

  • D: i dont like this guitar... i feel the neck is too fat, and even if its a rosewood fretboard, my old behringer maple one was faster. and ze pickups suck too... i dont recommend this guitar untill you are a real starter (newbieeee). if you, like me are an intermediate-advanced player, then DONT GET THIS ONE!!. my friend has a 200$ ibanez with an agathis body (agathis!!! wtf!!), and it is ways better than this one. so save up a little and dont trust sx guitars ( just mah opinion :P)

  • @metallicaxjavoxmcr Has it been set up properly? When I got mine it needed quite a bit of adjusting. Pickups weren't half bad in it, as show in the video. To each his own tho I guess

  • @wisewendell Yeah it has been. i lowered the action, and it doesnt fret, but the sustain isnt very good. i am not sure if this is the right word in english, (i am mexican), i "octavated" it, i setted the neck's curvature and polished the fretboard. i still dont like it :(

  • @metallicaxjavoxmcr but i cant say the guitar is bad. it is just right for practiciing, and well, ill change the pickups, and get a luthier to calibrate it well. i bet itll sound pretty good :)

  • @metallicaxjavoxmcr well the same company makes dougles which is a sorta intermediate level and agile which are awsome guitars and they only run 300-500 dollers

  • @poplepo3 i know... when i realy got fed up of this guitar, i sold it for 200 bucks (in mexico..) and bought an al-2k (agile)... just the best guitar ive ever played *-*

  • i am going to buy this tomorrow. i am an intermediate-advanced guitar. will it work for me? .-.

  • @metallicaxjavoxmcr In short, most likely. :D

  • @wisewendell it better!!!!! its hard to buy sth on internet from mexico!!!! i is pretty excited, tho P:

  • I'm going to assume the sound is from the camera and not the guitar. Hoping to buy the left handed model sometime soon.

  • i have a question, how well does it stay in tune, and after u use the trem like crazy.

  • @graham1angel It stayed in tune rather well, I have the trem blocked right now so it stays in tune like no other, but while it was free floating it stayed in tune well.Never had any problems.

  • what song was that 1:33 ?

  • Thats the beginning to Coheed and Cambria's song Welcome Home

  • thinking about gettin the same one

but hows the guitar over all

    is it good for metal

would you reccomend this guitar or not

what would you give it at an over all rating

  • Hey hey, guitar overall is nice, neck is good, similar to my ibanez prestige. It would be good for metal, original pickups are good also, I changed them for EMG actives. Rondomusic is a stand up company. Never had any problems with them, and have never heard of anyone having problems with them.

  • hey dude. forget my other comment, i hadnt seen this one!!. just tell me about how the neck is. speedy? easy to play solos?

  • Its good, wide flat, look at the video on the side "SX guitars - Tony Lloret - Hacia la Luz"

  • Comment removed

  • at about 1:16.... were u tuning from the bridge? i havent played a guitar with a floyd before so just wonderin...

  • @seetherfan31 Yes sir, that is what I wad doing.

  • reallly? wow i didnt know that about the floyd. i thought u had to loose the nut everytime u wanted to tune the guitar... niccceeeeee

  • @seetherfan31 Nope, its got whats called fine tuners on the bridge, turning them out lowers the pitch, turning them in raises it.

  • ah thanks man. i didnt know what all came with the floyd rose... sweeet man... im lookin on gettin a sx with a floyd sooner or l8er... right now im working on gettin a sx deimos or some other les paul body guitar with set neck.

  • Comment removed

  • Does that guitar have the wizard 2 flat neck like the Ibanez?

  • @damageplan67 Holding the two guitars next to each other the necks feel very similar, I prefer the finish on the neck of the ibanez, but other then that they feel pretty much the same.

  • hey! can u tell me how is the floyd? i mean, i know it can't be perfect, but it is even good?

  • @leloco90 Yeah Its good, not as good as the Edge Pro II on my Ibanez, but still a good bridge.

  • yeah! well, i've heard that ibanez's bridges, the edge pro, edge zero, and zr are the best licensed floyds, and ofcourse the price of the SX is cheaper than one of these bridges, so i can't expect a perfect floyd, but if u say that it is "good" and it stay in tune even for a while, that's enough for me dude! i'll trust your words \m/

  • hey2

how bout SX GG CUS black LP?

    do u have it yet?

  • No, the guitar in the video was the last SX I bought, I have an Agile PS-924we that I also have a video of. But no more sx's

  • hmm agile is tough guitar from china..i've heard bout it..someone also recommend thats guitar to me..so how musc your guitar collection now?huhu

  • If Im not mistaken the agiles are made in Korea, in the same factory as epiphone. I may be wrong But I wouldn't doubt its true. My guitar collection is...not enough guitars :D

  • yup u were right...agile made in korea...but some said agile made from china..haha whatever....

    mybe their both made agile...hahah

    not enough?hahaha

  • why.. do they suck?

  • I really like my agile. It weighs about 47000 pounds, but other then that its a nice guitar :D

  • cool, I just ordered one of these. I think i might change the bridge pickup to a GFS crunchy rails.

  • Its a good guitar. Tho If I had to do it over, I don't think I would have gotten it. Got an Ibanez Prestige 2120 and all of my other guitars just collect dust.

  • great guitar!!!! but the lead guitar is not for you.... go sleep..!!!!

  • my god!! is that a chicken?????? (red hot chili p.)

  • Ahh I think I could be halfway decent with practice...maybe even teaching..Teaching helped loads with my violin playing..:D

  • are the tremolo any good? lichensed floyd right?

  • Tremolo was pretty good, I blocked it though cause I used the trem cavity to hold the batteries for the emg's I put in it.

  • hey man do u know if the mirror series has been discontinued or sumthin?? ive been searching every where for the sst version w/ no luck

  • Have you tried e-mailing Kurt at rondo? He'd be the guy to ask. Very stand-up guy from what Ive been told.

  • yeah, ive read the same thing. i did email but its been two days and i havent got a reply. maybe i'll try again

  • never mind. it was in the junk mail folder. theyre sold out untill x-mas

  • SX is much better than Epiphone. Plays better. Sounds better. Better built. I own both. :)

  • I don't know, I have an epiphone acoustic I love the mess out of, as for their electrics....meh..

  • Sound´s awesome

  • Glad you likey

  • he im having a problem i cant deside if i want the douglas fulcrum or the sx lespaul with a floydrose

  • I dunno, it all depends on what you wanna do.

  • tip: if you want a les paul model and don't spent too much money in it buy a "Epiphone"

I prefer Gibson all the way;-)

  • That metal pickguard causes a lot of noise, i replace it with a plastic mirror one

  • I've taken it off quiet a few times and it's plastic..If I had a metal pickguard Id be entirely too metal and the world would explode if I played any more then 4 million notes per second so...Thats the reason for that.

  • You still have this right? How is the floyd rose doing? Still stay in tune?

  • Yup I still have it, looking to sell it though, and I blocked the trem cause probably in this video was the only time I had ever actually used it. I put emg 81/85 combo in it, and used the trem cavity to put have the 18 volt mod in there...So It is what it is I guess, my agile with the guitarheads pickups I like much more, and is much more versatile I think.

  • hey how do you think the sx doubleneck will sound?

  • I think they can only get better as they get more experience in what works and what doesn't. Too bad I dont have any money to buy more guitars..:(

  • yay! chili peppers. :D they're my favorite band. :D

  • I play quite a bit of em...Or atleast attempt to anyways.:D

  • Is this a good guitar? Cuz i wanna mod it to have a original fr, grover tuners, dimebucker in bridge, lil screamin demon in middle, and invader in neck, strap-locks, u get the point, is the neck and body good? BTW I play %100 heavy metal and rock, but with my choice of whammy and pickups you should already know that lol

  • Ill be completely honest, I love the guitar. However, the fretboard on mine is plastic with a veneer on it to make it look like its rosewood(although with high-gain you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in sound I dont think). Neck is very comfortable, tuners are garbage so an upgrade would be well spent.

For a mod guitar tho, You can't do much better then this one:D

Oh and the frets on mine are sharp on some frets. So a little filing may also be in order.

    Hope this helps

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell

  • What? Plastic? You sure it isn't dyed maple?

  • Pretty sure its plastic. I had to file away on the fretboard some so the neck pickup wouldnt hit it, and its plastic all the way that I filed it so...Im supposing its plastic with a rosewood veneer(extremely thin one at that)

  • Hmm... Maybe plastic has it's advantages, I don't know. Or SX just wanted to cut on a budget :P

  • Ill vote for the latter theory:D lol

  • plastic fretboard...nice. :P

  • When you're playing heavily distorted stuff you dont notice:D

  • i have a sx pgg-sc with a roland cube 20

lmao i like it plays awesome punk

  • Dang - I hope that this is the SX SEG1 because I'm buying one this weekend. They still have it up on Rondo - you can get the SEG1 for $109.95 or with a Floyd Rose tremolo for twenty bucks more. Can I ask what amp you're playing with and what, if any, modifications you've done to the guitar since you bought the thing? Thanks for posting a clip of the SEG1 - you've convinced me.

  • In this video the only thing done to the guitar was new strings. Everything else was stock. I have since however put EMG's in it. I havent made a new video with the new pickups but..Its perty good. And Im playing through a roland cube 30.

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • i need humbuckers

  • humbuckers are awesome! Although recently Ive been playing around alot with single coils, I have a strat that I have done a couple mods to...I still love my humbuckers tho:D

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • Welp, for the price it is still a steal either way. btw nice little coheed riffage

  • Hehe Me likes teh coheed! Well..atleast I used to 'for I stopped listenin to that type of music...:D

Rock on! Check out my other videos if ya like, I puting up two new drum vids tonight..:S

An the chick in your sakura vids seems hott...:D

  • Nice. I don't care much for the whole "brand" side of buying guitars much anymore. I have a GISBON Sg standard that cost me a pretty penny, BUT I do find myself enjoying off brand guitars as well. especially the SX series. In fact, I just bought a SX SJM-62 triple p90 model. Quick question, how was the inotation on the sx when you got it? I and to all the douches saying it doesn't sound good, I bet if he ran it through a tube amp and not some little roland it would sound 1000 times better.

  • To tell you the truth, I dont exactly have an expensive "tube" amp, but I have a vox ad60vtx i bought for $500 and I LOVE the sounds I can get out of my sx strat on it...specially with the mods I done to it, its tone city! Well, Im sure tonesnobs out there would say it sucked...but hey, you can't please everyone sadly.

As to the intonation. Like any other guitar, it needs setting up when you buy it, neck relief maybe a little fret filing here and there, and definately saddle height...

    ~Wendel~

  • Mine just came. And surprisingly, it was setup right out of the box!

  • trying to find out how good neck is, fret dressing and feel, and so on how well does the floyd stay in tune

    thx

  • Neck is good, very comfortable, frets cut your fingers off more or less, so they need filing, floyd stays in tune good if you stretch the strings properly I guess, the strings it came with stayed in tune really good but then I put a set of DR's on it and couldnt get it to stay in tune so i just blocked the trem..:D Im cheap and lazy..lol

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • Hey Wendell,

my son has an SX strat copy, what kind of amp are you running there on this clip?

  • I also have an SX strat copy! Awesome guitars!

I am using a roland cube 30, honestly, for the price...you couldn't get a better amp, everything it does, it does well...highly recommended!:D

  • yeah i have the same one in this video just without the pickguard/floyd rose and the neck is amazing. there's no rough frets, it's straight as an arrow, smooth, thin, and fast , almost lik an expensive ibanez! great guitar!

  • bside SX what guitar u have collect?

  • Umm...I have mostly cheap guitars that play and sound well:D Name doesnt matter much to me as long as its not BC rich :D

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • BC rich??why not?

  • Comment removed

  • hmmm i love that sx..its beauty!!chrome+black

  • i also love my SX mine SG STD1 full body..but my problem is my guitar's string is too high

i'd try to fix it...but when i lowered the bridge..the string begin to mute on fret 1,2,3

    how can i fix it?pls help me...i'm from malaysia..SX cost RM(Ringgit Malaysia)630...

but u all bought with only $100 sob...sob..

  • Sounds like you may need to adjust the relief in the neck. Do a search on the net for guitar setup. Lots of great info out there.

  • can you give me some link perhaps

  • If you've never done it before, it is probably good advice to have someone do it for you and watch them as they do it, before you try tackling it yourself, it'd be terrible to mess it up...or break the truss rod, since youre having muting at those strings it could be theres to much string tension for the current truss rod adjustment or you just have too much relief.

    Thats just my two cents

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • hmm...thank 4 ur advice...

    rock on two!!

  • why is everybody talking crap?

the guitar doesnt even sound that bad at all.

not the best quality sound in the recording itself, but not at all terrible.

    you guys suck.

    God bless :D

  • Thanks much! I actually kindof liked how it sounded...Sounds..more metally now, but..still awesome

    Rock on!

    And God Bless yo!

    ~Wendell~

  • sounds like shit. you need new pickups in any sx because they are of low quality.

  • Not so,check out some of the other SX videos, like the SX SJM guitars, with the two p90's, awesome sounding guitars, even with the stock pickups. I didnt have to change the pickups out in this guitar, but I did cause I wanted EMG's in em...But, to each his own.

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • made in china as I know, but sounds good

  • sx makes a lot of left handed guitars, i was thinking about getting the sx gg2 bo bk i think it's called. it's a pretty cool explorer knock-off.

  • I love SX guitars, the only thing I dont like about mine, besides the fact its a single locker is the frets could use some filing and maybe the neck some shimming, but other then that I dont find any problems with it.excellent beginner guitars!

  • you're bad

  • wheres ur vids? hah hmm? senen stratocaster actually puts up videos and is better then me so i actually give a crap about what he says..on the other hand...you....not so much...

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • I HATE THIS SOUND. Have you got a metal zone ?? OMG

  • imo metal zone sounds anal..but thats just my ears, sorry you dont like it.

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • I bet the bridge sucks

  • Its not that bad...not that great either, I got it blocked:D

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • I had an SX too, but it was a classic 62 Strat copy, really good value for money. I hope my comment wasn't too harsh or anything, I just had bad experiences with floating bridges lol!

  • Me neither so I totally understand what you mean,I dont really like any style of trem, floating or any other kind...but anyways

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • Hi Wendell! What model of SX is that? I do not seee them on the Rondo site.

  • They dont have it on their anymore I dont think, but it is the SX SEG1 if I am correct..pretty awesome guitars, they are still on the sx guitar site though.

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • HAHAHA i love the part when your singing "cant stop". good taste in music and nice playing!

  • Thanks much! I hope no member of the peppers ever see this blasphemy of their awesome music but I try anyways, or atleast I try to be eclectic in my choice of music.:D

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • what is that one song you were playing around 1:36?

  • Coheed and Cambria's welcome home :D

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • you are amazing, how much was this guitar.

im lookin to get a new one and i dont know what to get

  • Thanks much! Paid 139 for the guitar, though now it has emg 85/81s in it. paid 170 for them.

What type of guitar you want prolly depends on what type of music you play what you like and how much you can spend.

    Wellp gotta go!

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • you said DANGIT!!!

  • well I cant say kickf-, thats your word, its a very kewl word but I am not known to say bad words...I use bi-words as they are called...err..by-words rather :D haha thanks for watching You rock hard! I dont care what anyone says :D

  • This sounds pretty nice if you don't have that kind of money for an Ibanez.

  • Yeah, I also have a JEM, the sx isnt even close to a jem though. anyways thanks for the comment!

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • I just ordered an sxsst57 and came accross this. They sound pretty good to me.

  • Yeah I love SX guitars, think they are the best thing since sliced bread!

    Rock on!

    Wendell

  • fer gawd sakes, clean up yer room before making a video, sheesh! good sounds, though

  • Thanks for the comment! I know I should be a more cleanly person...but its my computer desk poor thing is always filled with papers...anyways thanks for the comment!

    Watch my other videos too!

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • yeah!! SRV!! hey man, u say ur not that good at guitar?? u got some awesome skills man! keep on practicing more and u will be a shred master!!

  • Thank you very much for the compliments!! SRV is prolly one of my biggest influences and idols, how someone can play with as thick strings as he did and with as high action as he had and still play as fast as he did is a wonder to me...I am currently looking for someone in my area with which to start a band, havent found anyone yet..am still ookin :D

    Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • amazing player and amazig guitar!

  • I dont know if I would call it amazing player but I certainly do appreciate the compliment:D I am gassing for another guitar, seems every time i get a new guitar i get a little bit better..dunno maybe its the guitars..HA

    Anyways Rock on!

    ~Wendell~

  • Nice pinch harmonics man, nice guitar too! Thanks for the comments on my vid.

  • That looks like Steve via's guitar I want that one now
