I remember this song! According to allmusic.com, it only made it to #55 on the national charts, but I lived in Ohio, where it probably got more airplay than in other parts of the country. I probably haven't heard it since the 1960s.
An extremely well deserved #4 hit in March 1965 on the charts of WKNR, Dearborn, Michigan, the station that broke hits nationally. The flip side, Comin' At You is just as amazing. A pity that the Reflections rarely do either song in their current live set, as it's their masterpiece.
I used to date a girl from Allen Park, MI. They played the heck out of this song at Collarossi's Pizza parlor in Lincoln Park. The girl is long gone, but this song will always be my favorite REFLECTIONS single. I don't think it received much air play outside of the midwest. CKLW never played it much either, now that I think of it. Thanks for this priceless video.
