I used to sneak from the apartment building across the street and "play" in that cemetery 1958. It was beautiful and I felt alive.

@izitso87 There are millions of Egyptians who are so poor that they don't have anywhere to live but in cemeteries (all of them, Jewish, Christian and Muslim). It is just that the older the cemeteries that less visitors they have and hence the easier for those poor people to live! Is is still neglegance on the government side :(

I am just saying that in case you think those cemeteries where being degraded by Egyptians on purpose. They aren't!!!

Are you from Alexandria? or did your family live there? and if that was the case, when did you leave Egypt?

Yes I was born there and was expelled with my family and many other thousands of Jews in 1956.
