  • I have 3 rabbits and i feed them 1 1/2 cup full of pellets a day, and i share this amount into 3 bowls, but is this not enough?

  • I RATHER HAVE YOU GET TIMITHY HAY AND TIMITHY PELLETS

  • Thanks a million!

  • Can you feed a baby bunny Timothy hay

  • My bunny has suddenly started losing weight very quickly. I can now see the bone on her body. I havent changed anything in the diet and she is still losing weight. I need help FAST! please!

  • @lydiagreenchocolate I'm so sorry to hear that! Did your bunny stop eating or drinking, or pooping a lot less? I think its an intestinal issue, but I'm no vet.

  • Nice video. I just wanted to comment though that some vets recommend even less pellets than you talk about, e.g. my own vet says over 90% hay is ideal. At the vet's recommendation I cut my rabbit down (gradually) to a couple of tablespoons of pellets a day plus a couple of handfuls of greens and it really suited her; she's eating masses and masses of hay and doing great and some minor issues she had have gone away. Never change anything suddenly though.

  • They don't necessarily need pellets but they definitely need hay. If you give them all the grass hay they can eat (timothy hay, orchard grass, brome, etc, not alfalfa unless it's a baby), they will be OK. But a little bit of vegetables and a little bit of pellets are a good addition as long as it's not too much. And pellets do have some vitamins and things so if you don't use pellets at all, you might need to choose your veggies more carefully.

  • Very helpful! Thanks for all of the tips!

  • Thank you so much for helping me on both my comments ! You were a great help !! (:

  • Helpful! I need to cut down on how much i feed my rabbit !

  • @CeciliaAndFran I'm glad we could help! What's most interesting is how little we should be feeding the pelleted diets compared to hay and grasses. Best of luck with the diet!

  • @PetFoodDirect ok i have a male rabbit and he used to be fat and now he's losing weight so what can I do to al least fatten him up more?

  • @Celinebabeify Make sure to check with your vet to see if he/she thinks any dietary changes are in order before upsetting your rabbit's daily routine.

  • @PetFoodDirect is timothy hay good for rabbits? Also, can u use regular blank paper or looseleaf paper in their litterbox?

  • very helpful :)
