  • AF?

  • I like the "no narration" thing for entertainment purposes. You're just describing what you're doing, cool music is nice. Great vid.

  • god bless this video just saved me thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You can't please all the masses but a narration might be better,,,my point of view :)

  • @docume I think I will need to remake a few videos, this one included. :)

  • Thank you^^ but what about audio?!

  • OMFG TAHKS SOO MUCH

  • Thanks a lot!!

  • what song is this in the video, love it!

  • question if u have more then 1 clip on ya time line how when u edit swich back in forth between shots kinda like how multi edit does in cs4. like its it possible to delete a seperate key frame in each clip.

  • very helpful. solved a problem of mine.

    thanks.

  • hpw do you drag that picture in 58 ????

  • Very cool Jon. Being an Aussie - it's Ok for you to talk on your vids! PIP is one I am looking to get a grip on - MTB and RC Helis are an example. Rgd Jon

  • I have CS4, is it kinda the same?

  • In relation to the pip stuff, yep. Exactly the same. -Jon Barrie.

  • Great video really good

  • Thank you SO much!! I'm a college student and an uploader here on YouTube who's new to Premiere. This helped A LOT, because now I can say goodbye to iMovie (default editor on Mac OSX) for good. I'm majoring in video and I'm learning Final Cut, but to be honest I like Premiere a bit better because of the flawless integration it has with Photoshop, After Effects, etc. It's different with FC, though I never tried the new one yet. Again, many thanks to you Jon! PS- nice song! 5 stars and favorited!

  • This tutorial is really wonderful....your explication and video resolution is fantastic...is awesome Bro....

  • this song isn't too lesbo is it? i'm tellin obama...

  • can you do this wtih CS4?

  • Yep. ;)

  • which is best? : premiere pro, final cut pro or sony vegas?

    anyone?

  • premiere pro is a good starting editing suite but final cut pro is certainly moving up through the industry as regularly used editing software by post production houses ... stay away from vegas it's not even close to industry standard ... Avid is still the most common professional editing tool

  • final cut pro

    is for pros

  • this is awesome homey

  • i already knew this but you still rock

did u say u where from south africa

  • a PIP tutorial with audio would be more practical for the new to cs3 mr barry...

  • ahaaa

  • and how can u delete the audio for a clip ? without removing the clip itself

  • why would you do that? you can simply mute it:)

  • you lock the videotrack, with the "lock" on the left side of the timeline, and then just remove it,or delete...

  • i dont get how u got that PIP window open at 0:56

  • Very cool, thank you!! :)

  • thanks a lot for you hellp jon

    1more ?

where do i find the 10sec intro its in b/w and best settings for you tube as your videos plays good

    and as you video play

  • hi how do i change my skin in cs3 from light gray to dark

  • Go to the Preferences in PPro and Drag the Bar down the the far left under the Interface setting.

  • I hope you can sstill help on the development of my knowledge on this issue you have there. and it is a pity you dont have you voice explaining as in other. I dont understand why others mess with ur voice. I am portuguese and I understand loud and clear whatever u have to say.

    Kind Regards,

    Nelson

  • hey nice tutorial had a question is there a way to crop the second video into a certain shape. like the if there is a cicular shape in the background and i want to put the second video inside the circle is there way? thanks

  • There is it's called track matte. It's where a circle (white) on a black background is on one layer above the one that will be shown through the circle. The track matte is an effect that's applied to the circle layer and the effect is told to look at the layer underneath (your video). It's tricky to explain. Have a google for it. I'll put this one on a list of tutorials to make.

    - Jon :)

  • what is the name of the song?

  • "Slowly" by Max Sedgely.

  • no offence .. but did u stop recording your voice after ppl made fun of your voice in the slow motion tut ? :P

  • No. I made this video ages ago. I didn't use my voice because I wanted to get it out as lots of people were requesting picture in picture and it took longer to "edit" the video together with me talking. I don't care if people can't understand me. That's not my problem. I do want to get better at them and find value in most comments. I don't find the bad comments discouraging. I laugh at some - but they probably wouldn't understand the ununsiation of the laugh and probably think I farted ;)

  • how do you put a video inside a picture?

  • THANK YOU! :D

  • apesta = sucks

  • hi, is there a way of make a completed movie, into a wmv file?

if not, how do you finalise a project to upload onto youtube for example?

    thanks

  • When you have finished editing you select the timeline panel so it has the highlight around it, then goto File>Export>Adobe Media Encoder...

inside there you can select from a long list of export types, one of them is Windows Media. Select the right type of preset based on your project settings (PAL or NTSC), press ok, then select where is will save and what name. Ok that and you'll get a WMV file.

    - Jon ;)

  • thanks for the reply, just one more thing.

Is it possible to hide certain "blemishes" in a video.

say that i have a video 1min long, but from30sec to 40 sec, there is a little blemish in the top right hand of the video that i want to "paint" over - is that possible? thanks in advance.

  • Thanks for the tutorial, that's what I exactly needed to do!

  • great demo. Great music. But it is too complicated for a newbie...... You can't call it a tutorial.... I am looking for a step by step tutorial for building picture in picture and that one it far tooooo complicated for me.......the problem is that you can't find these tutorial either on lynda com or on total training.

  • maybe if you watch it a couple if times and pause it to see the panels being used it might start to make sense. :)

the truth is its not a click and done easy thing. you are resizing the clips and putting them over the top of a lower layer. then repositioning the clip to the side.

    - jon

  • That is exactly what I am trying to do.

    Thank you anyway

  • max sedgley - slowly
