He's a great player, but does he write any of his own music? Never get how the classical people that can make a living playing other's people's stuff....
Alieksey is not a composer. He concertizes all over the world though and although it is not easy, he is having some success in his career. The only teaching he does are some master classes he gives while on tour.
Alright, but to be honest, I don't think there's much talent in just playing someone else's pieces. That's just repetition. Beyond making it sound nice, there's not any creativity involved; it's almost robotic. This is why I never understood classical sorts of people who just play, and don't make anything of their own. He's a great player, just wish he'd combine that with his own creativity and make something to call his own!
On the contrary, Alieksey's renditions are quite exemplary. I've had music master comment to me that his rendition of Henze's Drie Tientos exceeds even Julian Breams' recording of the piece. They were written for Bream, by the way.
The guitar is tuned differently but I do not know what the strings are specifically tuned to. I do know that the transcription was made by Sergio Assad and that the music is not available (not published).
BTW - There is a CD of this music, played by Alieksey in the studio. It also has James Kline's studio performance of Rosheger's "Serenade." It is produced by the SF Classical Guitar Society and will be available at some point in the future. It needs to be pressed again as the first set have all been sold out.
Alieksey , sou seu fã aqui de belzonte , queria ver mais videos seus , uma pena que tem tão poucos .
