  • Hey man I really appreciate these videos, especially since their very detailed! You always cover the important details like what your hand should be doing, not only how to grip the ball!

  • whenever I throw a circle changeup, it just dives straight down to the ground. I mean, ive practiced this for a while, but it seems like it will never work. I dont want to get involved with a curveball yet. so any suggestions on helping me throw this pitch?

  • Wow! Thanks! That will really help me this year and i wont get the crap hit out of me this year either! Thanks Zane!

  • Zane is wrong. He has to learn that some kids are playing so competitievely that they have doctors just for there arms. There is a lefty on my team who when he was younger threw sidearm. He threw a screwball half the time and on this team he had 2 no hitters. As long as the kids know how to throw a curveball i think its ok. The safety curve is also good for younger kids.

  • No....I DONT know

  • The ultimate crafty left-hander. He was a pretty good hitter for a pitcher too.

  • I hirt my arm trying to learn how to throw a curve ball

  • thank you for the tips, i am a great little league pitcher, and was great the whole season but in the worls series my mechanics were a little messed up now i know what to do and whar i did wrong

  • He is right. The curve ball for little leaguers is based on hand size, or specifically the yet the length of the fingers:

their ability to grip the ball and not "perch" it, which allows the thumb to stay up for a bad radial twist and hence possible elbow problems

  • im related to him. he is my dads cousin.

  • Are you sure? hahaha if he was your relative you would say he is my uncle?

  • Hmmmm.....if hes the dads cousin, that would NOT make him an uncle. That would be the dad's brother.

  • I understand what he is talking about. With not throwing Curves. But It is so awesome after you throw one that gets by the hitter and they look at you like what in the hell was that.

  • chnage up is the same arm speed but different grip and same release point

make hitters confuse to be a fast ball

but cuz of the grip the ball's movement definitel going down to 5-10 miles

  • very much a circle change

  • 100-115 lifetime record; would have been A LOT higher had he had some run support from all those horrible Braves teams he played for. Did manage a 15-10 season in 1987, when the Braves only won 69 that year.

  • idk if he knows who I am but we are related

  • I'm related to Zane no lie

  • He is a great guy

  • OMG! I was a huge Braves fan growing up, and this is the first time I ever heard him talk. I remember when he was traded to Montreal, the Braves where playing Montreal. I also remember he had a good pick off move to first base.

  • Cool! What is he doing these days? Isn't he from Nebraska?
