  • I wanna hear the real version ={

  • I saw Jesus on the left reel

  • Not even close!

  • This is good, sounds like some kind of slowed underground mutant techno tune.

  • Comment removed

  • i like this

  • Ever since I first heard of it I've been DYING to hear the real Carnival of Light. Hopefully it will be released one day. The holy grail of Beatles fans.

  • I found another version that's 10 mins long, and it's exactly the same...

  • The Beatles were heavily into backwards tape loops at this time...witness "Rain" from '66 and "Strawberry Fields Forever" from '67. A lot of fake Carnival tapes are out there on Youtube, but real or not this one has to be top contender for the actual loop. I only wish I could hear the part of the song where Paul was supposed to have run around the studio on coke screaming "Barcelona!!!!"

  • this is it! I 've heard fragments of the real one and this is part of it

  • it was never played backwards that s fake

  • Heres how you know it's the real one. if you see a video titled Carnival Of Light that is 13:48 long, and it has been taken off youtube the next time you check, that was the real version.

  • The beatles never played it at the rave it was pulled off by george harrison few heard it and mccartney owns it now

  • @Max12Weidler hahaahah

  • Está chido, pero ni de lejos es Carnival of Light...

  • This is not Carnival of Light. Why is it posted as such????

  • Carnival of Light was created for The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave, an event held at the Roundhouse Theatre, London on 28 Jan and 4 Feb 1967. So, it has been heard, but probably no one remembers it, if yer know what I mean!

  • I've found four fakes so far. This is one of them.

  • Which one out there is actually "The One"

  • none. everyone you find will be fake.

  • @HerbBlake a supposedly authentic 13 minute and 48 second version can be found on the 2009 Russian bootleg album Now and Then, issued by Raskol Records

i cant find that anywhere though so i cant judge

i know this isnt it though

  • @Illidan1337OG I found it...All the files were .flac and had to be opened with a torrent opener. I got as far as opening them, but I could open the .flac files. Bing it if you wanna try.

  • @TheOfficialRNP hey can you email me the link

  • @HerbBlake so the carnival of light is a made up track

  • @HerbBlake This IS fake. There is NO bootlegs or releases of this song in any form. I forget the name of the group that made this, but it went on P2P as Carnival, but it isn't.

  • It's kind of annoying and kind of funny that there's this unheard music that people are posting fakes of. It's all a bit like Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster isn't it?

  • They must have used some of this on the end of Strawberry Fields Forever.

  • It's interesting. It might be an edited version of the original. It fits the criteria.

  • Carnival of Light has apparently been bootlegged after all. Only a very small number of anonymous people have it and aren't willing to share because of it's mystique and rarity.

At least that's what some of the rumours are saying. I have no reason to disbelieve the people who claim to have heard it as there is known to have been at least two copies of the original master in existence; Paul has one and the second went to the US and I think is now unaccounted for.

  • During the 1970's there were many Beatles tracks that still were 'mystical'. Many of those have been bootlegged later on so I don't see how Carnival of Light had been preserved so carefully, just as if somebody already knew it would become a rarity. It is useless to fool people telling them that some 'friend's friend in Holland' has heard it. If you had had a copy of "Leave My Kitten Alone" in the seventies you would have treated it just as it was "Carnival of Light".

  • @UK31337 yeah my friend has a copy, i still havnt talked him into letting me hear it :/ im just gunna have to get him drunk lol...

  • @UK31337 i could share a large piece of the song with you its private cause of psychedelictripper he threats me and freats me

  • @UK31337 i could share a large piece of the song with you its private cause of psychedelictripper he threats me and freats me he is verry mean to me

  • @UK31337 i could share a large piece of the song with you its private cause of psychedelictripper he threats me and freats me he is verry mean to me but i wil ake the video visable to you and other people who know about this song

  • @UK31337 i have a piece of the song but its private but i can make it visable for you too

  • @kendaft Really? Would love to hear it if it's real, yes :)

  • @UK31337 I have read and heard that George Harrison's widow has the only copy and that is the master and she swore to George that she would never give in to Paul's wishes and allow it's release. I am pretty sure that If Paul did have a copy it would have been out by now. Maybe the sources are wrong. Who knows apart from herself Paul and Ringo.

  • January 5th 2009. At least thats when McCartney said he was releasing it

  • Well that didnt happen

  • I doubt he said that, he can't release Beatles stuff on his own

  • It's gonna be on the 9-09-09 reissue of Sgt. Pepper. 10 minutes worth at least.

  • Proof? Not saying I disbelieve you but where did you hear this?

  • i guess not

  • @NyeTunes ya because that totally happened...

  • The song is supposed to be FOURTEEN minutes long. Where did you get this? It certainly is avant-garde, though!

  • @mrsmagloo Ever figure out what this actually is?

  • i know its a fake but the video works well with it!

  • In the original (real-not fake) version John Lennon shouts out" Barcelona!" repeatedly. Not here. A poet called Bob Cobbing was at the event and was one of those who heard Carnival Of Light first hand.

  • THAT's IT.

  • Is there a video that has the real song?

  • No. Very few people have heard the real thing. Only The Beatles, others who helped make the record (such as George Martin), and people who were present at the event it was created for. Not even bootleggers have heard Carnival Of Light.

  • I read an article awhile back stating that the track had been recovered but studio execs are unsure as to how to market it since it's such a long advent garde song, and don't know if it can be sold as a single track. At least that's what I read.

  • This is not the real recording.

  • It is possible that it could be the real deal, at about 2:29 you can hear something that sounds like 'gargling with water' which the track supposedly has. but where's the extra 9'11"?

  • is it the real song?

where is the rest 9 mins.
