The bassline on the link you attach has a different ascending three note pattern (D#-F-Gm)... the Chorus on"Fake It" has at least ascending four notes (Em-Bm-C-D-Em) and changes to a different melodic pattern on the second part of the chorus. In retrospect, most techno (especially Dutch techno) has the same style regarding chord changes.

@guii220 In Japan, usually they release singles over the course of about a year and an album is sort of like a compilation of those singles (with a few extras). So this will likely be out on their next album which I'm guessing will be out later this year or maybe early 2013.

Perfume's new album, which is released after 2 years and a half since 3rd album and is almost the compilation of their singles, is rare case even in Japan. (2nd and 3rd album were released sooner and had many new tunes.) It happened, because Yasutaka Nakata (the producer, composer and lyric writer for Perfume) is too busy. For he has his own band (Capsule), supplies many tunes to other artists and produces them (for example, Carry Pamyu Pamyu, MEG, COLTEMONIKHA, Ami Suzuki etc.).

@weensie101 Perfume basically does techno and electro music, like this song and "edge". But some of their songs draw from other genres. "Macaroni" has a taste of R&B. "23:30" is jazzy. "Natural ni koishite" is a kind of funk. And "Electro World" rocks.
