I've been to Tastee Diner in Bethesda, Laurel and Silver Spring. At one time all three were pretty good but anymore I'll only go to the Silver Spring location. The other two have pretty much become dirty dumps. :-(
The Silver Spring location is still pretty well run. Some of the wait staff are clueless on their job, but others there (especially weekday mornings) are great. The food has always been good home style cooking.

Indeed you should. It's amazing how packed that place is at 2:30 on a Thursday morning. It hilarious how many completely fucked up people are in there.
I lived near Bethesda from 1965 to 1980 and loved eating here. Of course, the food has changed but the place looks the same. wow!The elderly man who owned it and cooked, never wrote down an order, but he never made a mistake.
