Rock bands charting is more subtle, and i guess thats a good thing, but in a video game i dont want subtlety, i want them to pull out all of the stops to make the game a challenge, but thats just me. i hate when people say they want GH and RB to be more realistic, its a game, its not supposed to be realistic, just enjoy it!

That's something I find funny. When RB had better animations than GH (RB1 / 2 vs GH3 / WT) they rubbed it in and made it seem like a huge deal. Now that GH's animations are on top again, they all say "oh...if you're paying attention to the backgrounds you're not rocking hard enough". Blah... Doesn't really matter.

@l0ll3d123 before you go accusing rock band of stealing any ideas, they didn't. Get your facts straight. First Rock Band is made from Harmonix, the original producers of GH. They owned GH right all they way up to GH2 or GH80;s don't know which was last. Activision then purchased guitar hero from Harmonix and made GH3. Harmonix then went on to make Rock Band. Nobody stole anybody's ideas b/c Harmonix was the one who began with GH and separated when Activision didn't want to branch out

The problem is in Guitar Hero, they make you play Lead Guitar, Bass (when there is no lead guitar playing for a bar or more) or rhythm guitar.

With World Tour and Rock band, they can't give the Guitar Player the bass parts when they have nothing to do. Defeats the purpose.

All I know is that Rock Band's visuals are a lot more slick than any of Guitar Heroes. Also to me, I can not see any real difference in the amount of notes. I don't know if the GH fans are just dilusional or what but there really isn't any noticable difference. Lastly, I always noticed that GH has you play the note before it crosses the note thing, rather than while it is on there. I think that that actually means GH has the screwed up lag not Rock Band.

BTW, no prob with lag here...you can ajust it any way you feel comfortable playing. I don't know the songlist for RB that well, but if it is like WT, you can keep it...for a guitar player and music lover, give me the GH3 songlist any day.

WT= GH world Tour...they try do go more mainstream with the music and gamepley, and for the most that sux..The game is too easy, and the songs aren't heavy on guitar, drums are ok though...GH3 is full of good GUITAR songs, you know, classic rock, metal.....

I like both games, becuase I have friends who have RB, and I've played a lot.

I like RB more than GHWT, but none can top GH3...not yet..maybe with the next RB or GH.

I really wanna buy GH metallica, but don't have the cash right now :(

guitar hero difficulty is higher ...,but characters of gh are worse than rb's.

Guitar Hero is easier to solo (Might not be a good thing to some) and RB you gotta hit hammer ons DEAD on (almost) or no dice, which gets annoying for GH players.

GH characters look a lot less rediculous than the RB characters imo, GH characters have somewhat normal proportions, while the RB characters usually have gigantic eyes and heads with a load of eyeliner no matter what kind of character it is (...Usually)
