there is one other possibility besides all the weird activity in the house, and evps, is the fact that a cell phone signal was to be pulled through the house, at the second story height and hit the emf , that might do it, not sure if you could cut a line through the house in that manner and it have a justifiable destination at any angle though , but who knows it was definitely above normal activity

I think to say this is something paranormal is a bit of a leap but I do believe you caught something. I think that due to the very short time the motion detector goes off this is more likely a passing insect. I wish there was more to go off, thats all.

@Basilisk4119 well i only wish that our emf detectors were that sensitive to pick up a bug moving , well actually that would be a pain , kinda like a trifield that picks up everything that moves, but no on the bug thing they tend to shine in infra red and and emf detector wouldnt pick one up anyway. thanks

It also appears that the lighting changes right after the detector goes off as if something really did enter the top of the stairs. Good catch.

the hall way in that place was really active, we figure it moved out of the bedroom upstairs and went down stairs , for the next 20 min it sounded like furniture moving around on a hardwood floor and large drawers being pulled open and closed

Question, what is the surrounding area like (farmland, industrial, other) and is there any power in the house?

yes to all but on a small scale, the hallway or stair way is very modest on a electric nature, its and old house(yes unshielded wiring) but there is only a light fixture hanging for the ceiling about 5 feet away from it and it in a since is hanging in the middle lower part of the room by being placed on the banister, (there is a factory not to far from there, and there is farmland jsut to ther north and the power was on in the house,

actually im nosey in these kind of things, so if you wanna find out if theres stuff in your house set the camera up there again, but near the detector, incase u record a shadow or something.. unless you dont wanna know. I know my place is haunted and i've seen stuff.
