Conan O'Brien and Craig Kilborn always beat the hell out of stupid Letterman and Jay Leno, comedically and intellectually; I never understood why Letterman and Leno weren't simply put out of business by those two. I remember trying to count the number of stupid Lewinski jokes Leno made in a single show in the pre 9/11 days once and actually losing count.

TV doesn't care about rallies and protests. It cares about ratings only. Is it fair? No, but that's the business.
