I do not recommend using ALCOHOL in cleaning the psp rubber connector. The alcohol will make your rubber connector thin and it will make your analog stick go nuts

What else could be the case ?? maybe broken board ??? btw I have a PSP Phat (1004) too.. and I noticed something weird.. don't know if it's supposed to be that way but.. when I screw the screws on the back right side the analog gets jammed when pressed down.. does this mean the front case is NOT a front case of a PSP Phat ??? the PS logo is upper left and the SONY writing is on the upper right.. but i don't know.. maybe the case is non original ?? any tips? thnx !

Yes it did work, My joystick would drift down and right on its own. i used the blowing method and that only helped for a day. I did this method and used water instead of alcohol. It worked perfectly. My joystick no longer drifts anymore.
