I just started playing Osu yesterday and never knew you could use the keyboard instead of the mouse buttons. It makes the game so much easier! Do a lot of people do this?

I don't know why do you call Mouse&Keyboard play as Mouse Play, as most osu! players playing with mouse aren't using keyboard.

@SeasonalTNT Obviously you haven't become very good at playing Osu! yet. Because when you play harder beatmaps, it's almost impossible to use the mouse clicks to hit the fast streams of hit circles. Even if you did alternate between left and right click, the interference of movement that clicking makes can ruin your accuracy on a high-sensitivity mouse.

it doesnt nesseseraly need keyboard... you can use tablet,,,Wii motes,,,Mouse....its easier though if you're doing streams such as these with Z and X....but thats just how i play ir personally....alot ppl do cyclones a really good player,,

but it doesnt matter you can change what keys you want to use in the options,,,wii motes is mote for taiko you cant use them for proper osu! standard as what cyclone recorded off his demo, but ZX is really hand gives you more advantage

I think it's about the limitation of how fast one can push a key vs pushing the mouse button without moving the mouse away from center. It's like trying to full auto the elites from cs:s while aiming straight forward.

Cyclone, what multiplier is your mouse sensitivity set at in the osu options? Also, are you always so good at pacing the stacks of notes? I seem to have trouble determining how long the delay is between beats when they are in stacks, like in IOSYS - Marisa wa Taihen na Mono wo Nusunde Ikimashita by DJPOP.

I find that this remark is (comically) degrading to those who say it. Just because it looks difficult it doesn't mean that it is for everyone. Some are born naturals with the innate abilities, and the rest practice enough and CAN get good at it.

i cant play those songs that have many notes tat go round and round the map.

my mouse will tend to 'fall'of the table.

Hum. Did you play like this when you started Osu? I currently use just the mouse, sometimes both buttons, but I feel like I've hit a wall, and may try learning a similar style of play (as well as slowly increasing mouse sensitivity over time). If you switched to this after using just the mouse, how hard was it for you to transition? It'd be really helpful, thanks =D

HEY DUDE FROM 2 YEARS AGO.

Don't feel compelled to increase mouse sensitivity; it doesn't make you play better.

The best thing to do is to choose the mouse sensitivity that is most comfortable for you. High sensitivities might be good for their speed, but low sensitivities are good for their precision.
