I'm :( about the channel going away, I'll miss your Wednesday charm. The trip to Toronto is supposed to be about 14-15 hours, when I went last time it took a little over 16 hours to get there because of the construction on 402 and 401. 50km of single-lane in construction just one section of road felt ridiculously long, 18 hours to get home. It's about 1500km to drive it, not too bad for a straight shot non-stop trip. Getting as much gas as you can in the states is best it's much cheaper here.
