1. Your using a crystal radio therefor your on a MHz frequency, so anything from a radio to a television, to a phone tower can mess with your frequency, thats why you buy GHz radios so you get no interference.

@TheXolitude They already know that, and discuss the importance of that in several videos, however this is a product review - and the product, the plane, comes with an FM radio. Using a 2.4 radio would make testing irrelevant, because then its not the same product.

Great vid! I just got a Parkzone BNF P-51D Mustang. It seems to be a great plane, but my first one of this scale. It is nose heavy like yours but it doesn't have landing gear so I hand launch it without any problems. Saw a vid of one with "Super cub" floats for water flying, I'd like to try that out this summer.

I've been flying for 20 years and that was no glitch. When you get a glitch ailerons will go full one direction.

@UtRadioGuy It depends on the receiver. Servos can go all the way, shake or stuck, or all of these at once. I tried driving my nitrous car near an electric distribution node. Good thing it clamped on the brakes and not the other way, it was shaking the steering servo violently too.

If you want a good warbird you should check out the Hobby King Spitfire. Brushless as standard with enough power to climb vertical for only $80 from Hobby King, or the more pricey Art-Tech RTF 2.4ghz clone from Nitro Planes.

I have a simulator for a mustang and am getting a very similar electric mustang. I find I don't use the rudder on any simulation planes very often. With rc planes, do people find they use the rudders much?

those little GWS brush motors with gearboxes are the best choice if you need a cheap but powerful and robust setup for little RC planes.

I still prefer them to brushless outrunners in my small and cheap warbirds.

18amp brushless esc emax 2822 motor is a direct fit(comes with stick mount) and a 1000-1300mah 3s lipo battery and you you got yourself one stable plane..

add a HK dsm2 compatible receiver and you got one good plane to fly...

My bf got this exact plane.... We did a taxi test, and apart from the wheels rubbing against the metal it was fine and he fixed it... for the text flight we went to a golf course and the shortest flatest grass, It just wouldn't go up and the wheels came out including the little bits that fix it to the plane, we then decided to hand launch it...Went up...Then straight down... It's too nose heavy and the middle of the body broke in half and down the side =[ He's rather upset considering

I think a longer fuselage would help stabilize it and take a little bit off how noseheavy it is. I would love to have one of these, you be fun if you could add rocket tubes and bombs to the underside of the wing, may add stability, who knows?

For a 51 it looks rather short, Take offs look "real" and it seems pretty fast, The only thing is its foam, Crash and your done, Good thing about that is tho it can take a beating. The Price for this bird is amazing, I may have to buy it.. Ya know, to test it out.. Knowing me however, this bird would be FAR from stock.
